IDEA:

NOTES:
Inspired by :water Water's property of surface tension.

Aqualink starts off with 2 counters which reduces by 1 with each physical attack that hits it. When it reaches 0, it does not get destroyed, but when any attack goes through the shield, its owner's quanta is scrambled. This supports the multi-quanta nature of :water Water, however it may hinder the user.

The counters on Aqualink reset each turn.

I like the idea of the card but I feel the upgraded verison could be 3 physical attacks and not be op but if it is just raise the cost of both unuped and uped by one.
The Devil what more is there to say.

Like Hyroen was getting it, the scrambling might be helpful if you plan around it. Water has a lot of off elements abilities which scramble would help it fuel.

Also the scrambling would help if you were a rainbow- This card is also the perfect cost for Rainbows and despite competition from other good picks like Purify, Freeze, Flayer, and Forest Spirit, this would be a great option, (potentially) reducing a lot of damage and scrambling your quanta around so you can play stuff even if you initially get the wrong kind from QTs or whatever.

Also synergizes with control and Flooding.

What if, instead of your quanta being scrambled, it has more of a seep effect. So your :water quanta would start to fill up your other elements' quanta pools based on which one has the least amount?

I like the current mechanic more because it is more flexible.

Well, it could also be likened to splashes. The bigger creature, the bigger the splash, the more :water quanta that's displaced.

Maybe damage taken is how much quanta is scrambled?

So, would momentum'd damage scramble quanta?  Because technically it'd be ignoring shield effects...
