Clever idea, it's a strong shield that's vulnerable to CC, especially AoE kind.  The card feels a little too expensive though - I'd recommend lowering the cost to 7  :time | 6  :time .

That was my original intent, but then I realized that it was spawning 3 very real creatures that are able to be buffed or used as fodder for various effects.

I got the idea while playing this weird game about constructing a key to get through various Egyptian/Mayan Gates. It was so awesome, I decided I'd use it. Then I thought of Flayne's card Pepper's Ghosts, and realized, what better way to make an enigma card than by making cards that confuses the opponent when he tries to use CC?

Hmm, in that case... I'd say this shield oughta be changed to, "If there is no Ancient Key in play, Ancient Gate is destroyed"

Now, for the fractal abuse. . .
I would tweak that to "No Ancient Key on your side of the field, etc" just so your opponent's key doesn't sustain your shield.

I don't know if fractal is too much of a problem because it still requires an expensive card from a different element and then playing the keys, but if you're concerned about it you could just make the key expensive enough to play that fractalling it isn't really an option.

haha well, sorry bout that, I read the first Art/Idea/Notes and thought the page was done   :-[ ; my chief concern really is that what happens if the field is full? or even missing only 1 or 2 creatures? i type slow haha

if only the amount needed fills up the board, so wouldn't Ancient Key need to enter the field first allowing the opponent which one's the real key by board position?

Next, as it seems, what happens if you TU or Fractal the real key and play them? would all of them need to be killed?

If you play Ancient Doorway and it gets stolen, would the keys follow or would new one appear or would the keys stay on your side and still affect the opponent?

if a new doorway is played, would it make three new keys or use that last set? would the doorway be subjected to the last set's key's demise as well?
