agreed, elements in general need more cards wether they add new mechanics or not, the bigger the card pool the better (as long as it stays balanced overall)

As much as I like it, it feel like it's not needed. Fire already has Phoenix and it's dragon, there really isn't much of a place for this guy. I'd agree with Izaya, except you'd have to redo the whole mechanic more or less. Still amazed by the artwork.

So basically it's a fire creature that has lots of attack and no defence but makes itself difficult to kill.
Sounds familiar.
Oh yeah.

I don't get it :(

I retract my statement! The more the merrier!

Even after so long, the only seraph or two I've seen is from a half blood. Nowhere else have I seen them in the game being used.

Because we're still getting used to it. In a month or so, it will be used just as often.

I don't see how the release of a new card immediately implies that it needs to be instantly used everywhere in the game.
Years ago we had Ronald Reagan, Johnny Cash, Bob Hope, and Steve Jobs. Now we have Obama, no hope, no cash, and no jobs.

Well you think people would be excited about a new card, especially one with such cool art. It's in the bazaar too so it's available to everyone right away. Imagine if Phoenix just came out? It would be everywhere.

I bumped into my friend (who doesn't go on these forums) a day or two after the update went live. Big fire guy, runs mono fire 90% of the time. He said to me "Seraphs suck".

This card just doesn't really have a niche. It's ability is not only really expensive as you have to pay for it every turn, but also useless as you can't use it right away.

People are excited when new innovative cards come out. Seraph is not very innovative. When Phoenix came out, people were excited about the CC resistant creature. When Seraph came out, people noted the CC resistance and continued to use Phoenix. There is no reason to expect people to embrace a substitute with the same fervor they embrace innovation. Rather people are hesitant to embrace substitutes because they gain very little by doing so.

Can't use it right away as opposed to what? What can use its ability right away without SoR?
