Interesting... I always thought that Light and Fire should have more synergy. Personally though, I think I would like the card better if it was a light card with a fire ability than vice versa, even though that wouldn't make half as much sense. Right now to me it just looks like an insanely cost efficient dragon, that could be invulnerable.

As much as I like it, it feel like it's not needed. Fire already has Phoenix and it's dragon, there really isn't much of a place for this guy. I'd agree with Izaya, except you'd have to redo the whole mechanic more or less. Still amazed by the artwork.

10 attack is worth 9 :fire + 1 card
Is 1 :light per turn a high enough cost for Immateriality on 10 attack?

Well with 4 Aether you can make it permanently immaterial. This is only cheaper for the first 3 turns. Then it's equal and if you plan on keeping it immaterial after that, more expensive. Also, you can play Quintessence the turn you play a 10 attack card whereas this has one turn of vulnerability before becoming immaterial, unless you assist. So yes. I think 1 :light per turn is perfectly fine. Though... I'm the Master of Fire... and this is a Fire card... so I'm a wee bit biased ;)

well, the difference between this and "with aether" is that the "with aether" variety requires card combinations, while this is self sufficient as a single card.

Nope, especially when you consider Cremation giving this a high chance to be out the first turn. That said, 2 :light would be too costly. I have to say I'd like this to be a Light card with Fire ability cost too, because Light could definitely use it. Fire just gets more options to do damage, which it's already the best at, and it becomes a bit faster for no apparent reason. Most of all I dislike the fact that it's durable though, just like Phoenix. Fire shouldn't have a ton more stamina compared to most other elements, especially elements like Life.

Thematically it's cool though, but it could be just as cool being in Light.

This fills a spot between Phoenix and Dragon, unupped.
Upped it fills between Golem and Dragon again.

The only thing that makes me better on this card is that it has one turn of risking CC both unupped and upped (unless you get the perfect draw and win coin toss unupped, that is).

After playing with this for quite some time (Approximately 2 hours), I've finally come to a few conclusions about this card.

1. It performs the same role as a Dragon in most decks, the only difference being that if it is allowed to survive for 1 turn, it becomes very difficult to kill.

2. It is extremely easy to kill before it becomes a serious threat.

3. It is too slow to be extremely useful in most decks, specifically unupgraded (War).

4. It brings nothing new to the game, but it is a very neat card.

All in all, I like it. It's a nifty new card and I'm glad to have it. My only regret is that rather than begging for new decks to be created, I almost need to find uses for it. And find them I shall!
