What happens when you use this on a creature with 5HP or less?

What happens when you use this on a creature with 5HP or less?
I guess you turn it into a super Spark --> big attack, 0 HP --> attacks one turn then dies.
But it might also kill your creature immediately.
Anyway, I see a potential abuse of this card with flying Titans.
Just 2 of them on a single Titan and you have 18 momentumed damages on a non-devourable non-paradoxable creature.

Yep.. Flying Titans might be too overpowered with this card.
That can be fixed though. Just make Flying Titans have less HP. Problem solved. What they have now is ridiculous anyways.
-
Using it on a card with less than 5 hp simply kills the creature. As to flying titans, I've tried it, and it isn't as good as you'd think. Not only does the deck require gravity AND fire quantum, but you need two cards to be able to fly titan. And then you need another rage elixir after that for each +6.
Deck I used is 6x Titan, 5x Animate Weapon, 5x Burning Tower, 8x Gravity Tower, 6x Rage Elixir. Mark of Fire. I found Archangels to be much better.
-
So? Gravity and Fire are a natural comb with the Firemasters. This thing is a pretty good idea.
Mono deck fans sure will be pissed.

Moving discussion from another thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1474.0) over to here, where it belongs:
[deck idea of angels and rage potions]
So... the -5 is more like 5 damage, and can be healed? That might need a change...
All damaging cards are like that. Sniper, rain of fire, fire lance, etc etc.
Well, yes, all damaging cards are like that, but rage potion is more (de)buff, like blessing and armour. If those cards alter max health for the critter, so should RP, in my opinion.
-
I also agree it should be -1 MAXHP, not -1 CURHP.
-
Shut up!! It's fine the way it is... And the Flying Titans really isn't as good as you guys think, as Puppy mentioned. I haven't used angels, but I think that they'd be better.
-
Nice like this card as well.like said before Fl Titan won´t be a problem. aside from the building perspectiv a mutation is easily the answer to those cards now and with this card. Massiv dragon may be an other option to use this card on...
-
Well, right now the wording of the card implies that it will only alter the atk/hp of the creature, but upon testing, Archangel works extremely well with Rage Potion/Elixer, as the Angel can heal back the lost health. I'm not sure this is intended, but it sure is nifty! Also, it's a good cheap boost to some control decks using flying weapons, as once you have lockdown you can Elixer your flying Eternity and swing for 10 (just a thought to put in that Flames of Eternity deck of yours, SG).
-
It's actually good that Rage Potion damages the creature instead of debuffing and crippling it. Guardian Angels will finally see some light (get it, Light?), with this and with Liquid Shadow.
-
Agreed. Also, Steel Golems are actually pretty killer with Rage Potion.
-
I like it, but i that could be for upgraded cards only, and make a version for unupgraded cards. Someting like give 3 take 3...
-
Dude that card is unupgraded, lol also u can upgrade it
-
Dude he mens that the most unupgraded Monsters have not enough hp for Rage Potions so the uprgaded versions would be better.
What abou a raged Lava Golem. That could be a good growth deck.
-
I agree with Puppy, Having a deck based on Flyting titans and potions would make it weak and too slow... A 12/65 Creature with momentum if surely verry good, but verry dificult to have fast in the game, considering the cost of Titan, Flying Weapon and Rage potion.
-
Weird. The AI uses the rage potion as a debuff/weapon. It applied one on my FFQ which had a heavy shield earlier on. So it had absolutely no chance to kill the FFQ with the potion, but gave me a nice attack bonus. I don't think it was wise :)
-
Just a small thing I noticed: When upgraded, this card is sold back for the amount of an unupgraded card.
-
Are you sure you're using the latest version of the game? That issue should've been fixed in 1.17.
-
Unless you have a saved copy of the sfw file somewhere, how could you run a previous version?
-
By not having reloaded the page, by having an older version cached... probably some others as well.

Yup, nailed it. Damn, that cost me 4 upgraded rage potions while not paying attention. :x
-
You can heal a raged creature back to normal without decreasing attack. Effectively create a +5 or +6 growth creature!
-
yeah, this card has good potential, but is generally useless beyond creature control or healing decks.
-
this is clearly one of my fevorite fire cards, i just love the fact you can use this card with so many creature.. its just perfect :P
-
the problem only on a single fire creature: ash. (okok, golem if blown ub 3 times)
and there you dont need it. but in rainbow decks, it is very nice.
-
What do you mean only good for creature control and healing? Combined with Armarjo. it is really powerful.
-
I'd run the red nymph over this. other than that i dont see this card seeing tournament play
-
lol. looks like here it is still the same. almost 2 years since someone posted anything. and no one reply vile ?? well, rage potion is still used for a good cc and a powerful buff. and in this long time, it is still used in war. so rage potion is still good. of course firebolt can replace this rage potion when it reach 10+ fire quanta. but for early cc it is good. firebolt is more useful for a final hit after all. quite a waste to use it when it has 10+ quanta. and when u use rage potion for a grown lava golem, opponent will cry at this sudden outburst of attack.
-
:fire :fire Perhaps I'm still too much of a newbie, but I find Rage potion to be useful for little more than creature control as there aren't many creatures that have six or more HP (outside of Gravity or darkness decks). It's really useful when you do get the cards in the right order, but I really think that it should create a creature like a spark such that the enraged creature deals five damage to itself in the initial attack and dies thereafter should it be at zero hp. :fire :fire :fire
-
Rage is surprisingly un-useful in any fire mono. I really wish you could make spark plays with it (6 health to 0 health, etc.)
It's just CC. Lance would almost be a better alchemy representative.

Except that I use the card. My fire mono runs it to improve CC while speeding up the deck. Some of them, some Fire Bolts, and 1 or 2 RoFs, and a shield or two, and my CC is heavy, while keeping powerful monsters. It's not meta, but...
I find it extremely useful BECAUSE it's CC. Plus, I often mix Fire with light or gravity, so...
