Against players that hoard Relics, beware of Fire elementals at ALL costs. Losing that battle could mean ruining all precautions you have set up.

Aside from that, I'm surprised at how low the offensive power of the skills Fire has are. Other than Seige, they have no means to deny the opponent the ability to use his deck to maximum efficiency. I opt for a change in that regard.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

Idea was that :entropy would have most of the denying related skills.

:fire is definitely not my favorite skill tree. If you have any suggestions, let me know. Anything you see there now, is subject to change.

The "burn" technique is always useful. Also, brute strength is never depreciated. Fire spreads, and gives life, in some context. Perhaps the ability to create 6 Minor Phoenixes wouldn't be hated much, as a Tier 2 skill.

This was the exact skill mechanic that was conceptualized before these trees were 'finalized' (a filler skill for :fire, actually, as we already had things like Doppelganger, Swap Dweller, Tremors, etc.); I feel kind of iffy regarding these 'you can get to use 6 of this awesome card for free!' skills, because they can be really generic and boring to use (even though they're useful). ^^;

That said, I think Exploding Heart should be: "...must discard cards equal to 50% of the number you've discarded.". This way, even the most 'offensive' elements that have major discarding abilities (Champion of Darkness skill anyone?) can feel the utter sting of them trying to demolish you outright, and the skill would also be scalable. Also, if Fireguard and Destroy had their abilities pseudo-merged (in that a Fireguard can either destroy a Forest Hex OR an enemy Improvement), then we can unlock a new Tier 2 skill for Fire that might destroy something of intermediate value (between relics and improvements/forest areas). It might be interesting if Fire elementals could actually destroy things like money DIRECTLY from a battle... :o

After reading the updated 'Facts and Figures' Fire skill tree here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,26301.msg358042#msg358042), here are a few suggestions that I'd like to add if players don't respond well to the 'Build a generic Improvement!' skills:

'Build a Forge' is replaced with one of the following abilities:

Line of Fire
Upon winning a battle, all of the enemy's allies in the same hex must also discard the same number of cards.

Igniting Wrath (Active Skill - Costs 2 AP, or >>)
Target player in nearby hex must engage in a battle within 4 rounds, or else they die and discard 3 cards.

Cauterize (Active Skill - Costs 1 AP and a relic, or >*)
Before your next battle, use 4 less upgraded cards, but discard 8 less cards on a loss.

...and with that, you could also give 'Destroy' a new mechanic as well:

Generate a relic if you win a battle while having a 'Deflagration' card in your deck.

These are just my opinions though. ^^; I wonder what the :fire alpha testers think of those Improvements skills...
