When fancy strikes me, I'll run a classic controlbow that can be fitted with SoSe's in some slots. It'd look something like this without SoSe's:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 71b 71b 74b 77f 77f 7ah 7do 7dq 7gq 7gv 7h2 7k2 7n2 7n3 7n5 7q5 80b 8pj

However, you must be prepared to make changes if necessary. Sometimes a Mirror Shield is worth a lot, sometimes I don't need the EE and sometimes I'll run two FFQ's for faster :fire and subsequently faster wins. Sometimes the Uli does very little, sometimes it's absolutely huge. It can win quite fast thanks to the growers+TU package, but sometimes it's low on CC. SoSe's often give you some CC, but they cannot give you Miracle, therefore I usually pack one. It can run on 6 QT's, but that's very dangerous against quanta denial decks.

Another option is to go the SoFo route:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 71b 71b 74d 74d 74d 752 752 752 752 7ah 7do 7dq 7gq 7h2 7k2 7n3 7n5 7q5 8pj

Again the main problem is lack of CC, but decks in Gold tend to be domination (rushes with control), so the BW+SoFo+GF is often enough. You're also a domination deck, so you're aiming to win one turn before them is all.

Luckily for me, I do have sets of SoFo and SoSe, although they're from grinding silver so they're unupped.
All of these decks look strong and fun to play, so I'll definitely get to upgrading the necessary cards and testing them out and tuning them.
Particularly that first controlbow catches my eye, but I'll try them all out to see which I like playing best.

Thank you very much!  ;D ;D ;D

No joke, this deck is really good against Plat! I was too lazy to keep track of the stats again, but from what I've seen it does better than 40% win rate and 9 TTW. A lot of its success comes from the AI not prioritizing Pharaoh correctly. Its only a tiny bit easier to play perfectly than Swallow, having a lot of semiobvious tricks up its sleeve and is more rngreliant and hopeless against some permanents. However it gets less screwed by a lone squid/warden/whatever, requires fewer quanta, is faster and never loses to PC-less stalls.
If you expect CC its usually correct to wait until turn 3(or however long it takes to assemble the combo) to play mummy rt SoR in the same turn. Bonewall is stronger if you play it the turn you ready your scarabs.

It also looks really pretty, with all  :time cards in one comlumn, all pends in another and the remaining :death cards in the first column :)

Spoiler for random screenie of a fun and close match:

It's also really fun to play when you get the combos!

I collected Gold league stats for this deck.
Win Ratio: 0.736
Games: 53
Win:   39 (7 decks with 1 hp, 5 significantly under 100 hp)
Loss: 14
EM: 7 (all but one were from 1 hp targets though)

Deck is countered hard by Lobotomize, Immortality, or Spell Damage Rush but otherwise works pretty well.

A simple Freedom Rush tested in Bronze, though with the actual value of Bronze right now (47 electrum) substituted in the formula instead of the old 15 that is generically used (because arena right now is a bit broken). Further on, Bronze has many 1-HP decks with hundreds of days of age, and I wanted to check how they'd affect the stats.

Stats:

Games: 100
Wins: 98
Losses: 2
Win Ratio: 98% (Bet you couldn't figure this one out on your own)
EMs: 47
EM ratio: 47% (If you were to count only wins, it'd get closer to 48%. Either way this is nigh irrelevant, you're unlikely to EM anything that's over 12hp.
TTW: 3.85
Special Spins Per Hour: 20,51
UEI(Raw): 9878.501

Spoiler for Turns per Game table:
1 Turn41 Times
2 Turns3 Times
3 Turns4 Times
4 Turns5 Times
5 Turns9 Times
6 Turns18 Times
7 Turns10 Times
8 Turns2 Times
9 Turns3 Times
10 Turns1 Time
11 Turns1 Time
12 Turns1 Time

All in all, current SSPH is almost twice the value of the current highest-placed Upped Bronze farm deck, and UEI is nearly tripled.

TL;DR Gold actually has even lower UEI than before since Stated Value (and thus win value) went down tremendously, Bronze is filled with 1 HP decks you can EM for 7second 94 electrum
If you need Electrum farming Bronze is quite probably the best option right now.

PS: This is just a staple deck, faster decks may thus prove an even better UEI at the moment. Also, only valid for current broken arena state.

I'm surprised there isn't a Deck fitting mainly around Aether for either Gold, or Plat. I have been running a Semi-upped Deck in Gold, and doing alright there! Haven't tried Plat yet.
Aether is the Space, that is open for us to freely explore our limitations, and exceed them. Limitations that were set there, and meant to test us, and what we can do. To prove those that doubt us wrong. That we can be so much more, and that our real limitation, is the one we set ourselves.

(lacking upgrades because i saw no reason to spend  :electrum)
win vs pharaoh gravity duo: early lobo took care of momentum and would have dealt with 1 sofo per turn
2 wins vs monowater: pufferfish and purify were small threats that when accumulated a lot early can actually beat this deck, but the win was rather comfortable
2 losses vs monodankness: the typical story: they stole my quanta, they outhealed with vamps and then they stole more stuff
2 free wins vs 1hp oraclebows
win vs controlbow: nothing to CC and spelldmg bypassing dims allowed a pretty quick win. pulvy was scary, but the deck didnt have any dmg to speak off
loss monoair: shieldbypass and speed
loss vs. bow: well, bows have everything, I am surprised this deck beat so many off them
loss in mirror match: twice the hp and draw and triplemark just aint fair
win vs flying arses: more poisons and less arses would have resulted in a loss; spell dmg was necessary to deal with bw
win vs fire eaters: early lobo carry countering momentum; now if those momentums were explosions... 1 explosion was played and it hurt even though lobo reduced the dmg potential drastically
loss mono life: lots of healing and jadeshield can outdo you here, everything else is not an issue

7-6 is amazing, but I feel like I got hella lucky here, there should be more monodark, air, aether, fire or gravity, mono death usually beats this, convenient lobos carried me in 2 games (also I was expecting EXPLOSIONS, MORE EXPLOSIONS!).
I was probably to quick to discount mono  :aether, but I am still not fully convinced.

P.S.: This isn't proper testing, I didn't play 50 games, keep track of ttw or list games in order, so dont use this if you intend to include this deck (with more ups) in the op.

I did 200 games fully unupped (had 12 useless quanta-costing cards in so that I wouldn't accidentally do something like click a tower and end turn) and averaged ~0.5 seconds more/game
