Against miracle- eat your skeletons/fireflies with your otyughs.

A cool trick can be to use your elf to mutate a skellie into an abomination and eat it with an otyugh- giving another skeleton. Repeat next turn :)
You're better off eating a Firefly, which is weaker than an Abomination. It still gives a skeleton when it's eaten, but then you can still hit with the strong 5/5.

For a long time I was running an aether deck against them, started out winning maybe about 10% of the time when it was unupgraded, but by the time I had half my aether pillars upgraded I was winning closer to 30%.  Still I was bored with the deck so I sold off the towers and used the money to buy everything needed for an un-upgraded version of scaredgirl's deck (with a handful of personal tweeks for uniqueness sake) and right off the bat it seemed I was winning about 30% of the time, just as good as I was with my upgraded aether deck.  Once I got my hour glass and otyughs upgraded I started winning closer to 50% of the time, and with all the upgrades I've done since then to various cards and pillars I'm probably winning about 60% now, and I've still got about half the deck un-upgraded.

So long story short, I strongly support scaredgirl's deck for an un-upgraded deck that works and gets much better quickly with just a few upgrades.

Edit: Also, I think I may have scored one, maybe two 100% health victories against the fake god's with my aether deck, I score them probably in half the games I play with scaredgirl's deck, so its also proven much better at making money with out even selling rare cards.
