Falling Empire - Epilogue and Coronation

A New Era Begins!

On the first night of the new month, the insurgents took the Imperial Palace, led by Jappert and Agentflare, the rebels' generals. The last of Dukes, kirchj33, had fled the City with the Emperor in his custody, and went north, trying to find shelter in the confusion caused by the Kawalla Barbarians. Shantu the Head of the Cabal, Killer of Dukes, Agentflare and Jappert went after him. They met into the barren wastelands of Lundar for their final battle, where the Kawalla Pride mrpaper and the Northern Terror RootRanger were waiting. Agentflare valiantly fought against RootRanger, but fell to his sword; Shantu tried to get to the emperor by holding hostage a whole city thanks to his admirable power, but Jappert fought alongside his people to fend off the old menace once and for all. Kirchj33 tried to save his Lord by escaping to his territory, but was stopped by mrpaper, who challenged him - the last of the Empire's proud and worthy nobles - to duel. They fought hard and were on equal footing, but eventually Kirchj33 fell, tired of the long journey: mrpaper decided to spare his life, honoring his fighting skills. However, when he stopped to a nearby city, he got drunk and bragged of his might with everybody: the angry people, mad at the Emperor for all their misery, raged through the lands until they found him, overran the still injured mighty Duke and took the life of the Emperor. Jappert was hailed as a savior and eventually won the first democratic elections thanks to his fame, becoming the first President of the People's Republic. And so the War of the Empire ended, along with its Age, and a new Era advances: will the People's Republic survive long enough to restore the full prosperity the Empire enjoyed? nobody yet knows. However, for now...

ALL HAIL JAPPERT, RULER OF THE EMPIRE!

Congratulations to the Rebel Team, who won this event with a good use of their secret section and cooperation: Jappert, Agentflare and Aves, who made it to the last round together; ddevans96, whose corrupt intentions were not corroborated by a better luck; LifeLockable, ZBlader, MrBlonde and Terroking, whose early sacrifices strengthened the Rebel Faction and inspired their leaders to reach glory!

Special mentions also for ji412jo the Pontifex, whose early attempt at a victory could not unfortunately lead to overtaking the Empire; RootRanger the Northern Terror, who went undefeated throughout the whole event; Shantu the Killer of Dukes, who slayed no less than three Court members but couldn't reach the last, and Calindu221, who was never taken down by his foes; and finally kirchj33, for being the last Duke in the event.

Thanks everyone. I must inform you however, that this war is far from over. The people wish to see blood, I want the names of all the Crime Lords to give to them what they deserve!

Well, ddevans96 infiltrated your own ranks, RavingRabbid was corrupted by his power and decided to enjoy it, Nepycros had secretly run illegal matters through the religious channels for over a decade and finally xn0ize was really an undead sinful crime lord kitten that manoeuvred a noble's body through psychic power... or something.

I got very unlucky vs scauduro in round ( 3 i think?) had i won my matchup vs him i had this event won.

^Right. I was offed very early on (by scaud himself lol), but I kept tabs on the team and was really disappointed by the outcome.

The Godless Heathens of the Empire turned on the Sacred Order, but despite the fall of the church our faith lives on! The forsaken Gods will return with a vengeance. This pale, laughable imitation of a kingdom called "democracy" cannot and will not last.

Quietly we will endure, eagerly awaiting the return of the Gods and the beginning of the purge, as the sinners are given their eternal punishment. And once the Reckoning is over, we will emerge from the ashes and remake the Sacred Order. We will endure.
