Has anyone tried Fire buckler+Enchant Artifact? It works better because once you have one down, you are done for the rest of the game.

Maybe like Mark of Earth, 10 Fire Pillars, 4 Fire Bucklers and Protect Artifacts (just to make sure you get them early) and then you can do the vultures with some Boneyards and Pillars. And feel free to add like some rage potions to those extremely buffed vultures.

It might work. The only problem is that you won't get any protection for you HP (something that the Bone Walls from the suggested deck provide a lot of). Dragon/Phoenix damage could add up after awhile.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great deck idea.  I ran this deck unupgraded with the exception of a few upgraded cards I had from other decks (10X Bone Tower, Arsenic), and it thrashed Eternal Phoenix.

Wonderful deck. I used unupped except for 2 graveyards and 4 bonewalls I won from incarnate, and thrashed him. Middle vulture is hilarious- I had it at 8|9 and 8 skeletons out when he decided to bolt -> bolt -> storm -> bolt, resulting in a 16|2 vulture, after which I managed to get another t-storm in before he bolted it again (why the bolt->bolt->storm didn't kill it, I don't know- 6 + 3 + 3 should have killed it >_>'). Also, interesting to note- for the middle vulture, it's attack - HP = 3attack and 2HP (42-28=14, 3X14=42, 2X14=28) Hilarious.

EDIT: fail (15|2 skeleton, instead of vulture) and noobish mistake fixed

Haha I realize that this is really, really pushing the deck but can Firefly/Rustler/Empathic Bond possibly net you a reasonable chance of EM without killing the win percentage?

mind the explosions and firestorms. I've not tested it but I don't think so.

So far in about three tests I haven't won once.  It's really dependent on getting those Protect Artifacts for your towers and a Diamond Shield early.  If you don't get that, you are TOAST.

OK, holy crap.  That Condor deck is incredible, I am building it when I get the quanta!  Mid-quality draw and it was an easy kill.  It's also funny to watch how long the game has to pause to calculate twelve phoenix deaths, and as many ash/skeleton creations and condor boosts.  :D

Here's what I'd run unupped and rare-less.  Took out a vulture to make room for 13 pillars.

Code: [Select]
52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52g 52k 52k 52k 52k 52k 52n 52n 52r 52r 52r 52r 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh 5oh
Tested this deck unupped and won 2, lost 1.  Might be worth it to drop one more vulture for a pillar... damage was never a problem, initial quanta generation sometimes was due to explosion.
The main thing i like about this deck is that it pays for it self after you win one upped card from EF.

Firebolts do 3, not 4, so the first two brought the Vulture's HP to 3.  Interesting thing about Firestorms... the damage is not dealt simultaneously to every creature, but dealt to one creature at a time.  Say you have a Skeleton and an 8|3 Vulture out... if the Skeleton is struck first, the Vulture will grow to 9|4 before the Firestorm connects, saving its life.

Oh yeah, I forgot to go fix that. I had forgotten two things- first, that fire bolt deals damage in increments of 3 (I was using a calculator to estimate damage) and second, that vultures have 1 more HP than attack- so it had -15, not -14. Therefore, the first bolt must have done 6, second did 3, then it got stormed, or something like that. (still not really sure why it didn't die, because that puts it at 0 HP from the lances and even if it had more HP, it should have died to storm due to being in slot 1.)

Tried the upgraded version, but couldn't draw a Bone Wall until late game : / still saved my ass by leaving me with 2 hp for a while (good thing EP never drew spells during those turns). I would disrecommend saving up Lightning Storms untill you get Bone Wall for too long, had I done that I would've lost.

Now I lost 30k electrum to get it upgraded and won 2.2k electrum worth of upgrades \o/
Good thing I intend to get everything upgraded sooner or later ::)

I think I'm going to try it with a few less bone pillars and add in a "Soul Catcher" or two :)
