Did Chaos Lord just get all the more harder with this card?

I was surprised at how many people didn't know or understand the "butterfly effect."
Not everyone knows about chaos theory.

its a cliche. i would be surprised if people dont know it. it was used in the movie "the butterfly effect" it was used in another movie that i cant remember the name of as of now. it was them going back in time to hunt dinosaurs that were mere seconds from dying anyway. its an over used theory.

Unit, don't forget "The Butterfly Effect 2."

Also, I agree with Essence. The cost is a tad too high. Though, if paired with Supernovas, one could put in a Quint or two and have a 2/4 Micro Abom with Destroy and quint, lol. Perhaps lowering the cost to 5 would be better.

I just don't see how someone could go their ENTIRE life thus far and never hear of the butterfly effect. More than three movies have been made about it, and it has been referenced in many television programs and books.

There have been three movies in the "Butterfly Effect" franchise. Plus, other movies have had plots dealing with it as well.

In my seventeen years of life I have never heard of the movie called the Butterfly Effect. Maybe it was because I spend my childhood in China?

I thought so I had trouble reading your signature sort of thing and ended up having to do it the hard way.

So I think it works like this...

The day is hard to accept, the dark spirit is above all living things. The world is a myriad of things, only I am supreme.

I am not 100% though as my reading is long unused.

As to the butterfly effect. Yes lots of movies feel free to watch one.

The card i like but it will cause issues at this cost. Maybe 1 less to use it but hey that's just one answer. We will see what happens as it is used. Maybe it is fine with this cost.

does not the butterfly effect pertain more to time than entropy? you are after all, going back in time and screwing up the future

The Butterfly Effect is the foundation of chaos theory. It doesn't have anything to do with time travelling at all. Go to the first page and read my explanation.

@Scyther: Did you just try to translate that incantation I wrote? Literally, it means something like this:
"Devouring the heavens and earth, demons slaughter all living beings. From above the sky to below the ground, only I reign supreme."
Yeah, really crappy translation :-[ And I didn't write that, I copied it off of some Chinese fantasy novel I read.

I say make Butterfly Effect cost 5 or 6. If the ability it grants costs that much, then the card itself shouldn't be crazy expensive. As it stands, it's only use would be some kind of super slow mono-Entropy control deck, which doesn't sound appealing to me (and I'm the master!).

I was testing it out in the trainer with a bunch of different combinations (mono-entropy decks of all kinds, duo-decks, rainbows, etc) and I have to agree with JM here. Making it cost 6 normal and 5 upgraded would be much better, since it costs 3 :entropy just to use the ability. Perhaps if the ability cost 2 :entropy, then the spell cost of 8 unupped / 7 upped would be much more acceptable.
