Deck Code Generator

Useful for Arena decks, since there is no import/export button. Also, this could be a candidate for the Tools section, once that gets up and running.

Thank you so much, Alan! This will be really helpful until we get an import button on Arena. I know it won't count much, but + rep for this :)

This is so awesome. One minor thing is you can't have more than 6 pillars. I can live with that if I can get to the rest without having to use flash.

Edit: Never mind, it's just the time factory. But still, it's fine.

Very cool.

I have some layout ideas/feedback.

I would change that serif font to sans-serif one like Verdana or Arial. It would improve readability a lot.

I think there should be more than 3 elements in one row. There's enough space for that and there would be less vertical scrolling. You might be able to fit 6 elements in one row if you wanted.

Usability-wise, I think that the main issue (for me at least) is that unupped and upped versions are not next to each other. I would list the cards so that you have upped version under unupped one, followed by a line break. Like this:

Quote
(0) Aether Pillar
(0) Aether Tower

(0) Spark
(0) Ball Lightning

etc.
I see that the deck image is done using Planplan's code and the image is hotlinked from his server space. I don't know if you guys have talked about that, but if not, I would ask for a permission to do that. Also I think that whether or not permission was given, credit should be given for using the Deck Image builder.

That's all the feedback I could think of. Take it or leave it. :)

I think that the tool is very useful and easy to use. It will be a great addition to the upcoming Tools section. Good job.

Great job :o

maybe put color under text and color the text like it's ingame, that would help "newbies" like me :P

Thanks for the feedback!

I've changed the font to Verdana, made the number of elements per row dynamic (based on the width of your browser), and changed the order of the cards (upgraded versions next to unupgraded versions, moved Marks from Other to end of respective elements). Also, I removed the deck image option until I talk to Planplan, just to be courteous (not a critical part of the tool, anyway).

NOTE: Since I changed the stylesheet, you may need to hit CTRL-F5 to see all of the changes.

I agree with what SG said, but I have a different suggestion about the layout. I'm not sure if this is possible but, how about a table format like this?
Other
UNup
UP
Quantum Pillar | Quantum  Tower
15
13
Dagger | Dirk
1
0
Short Sword | Long Sword
5
0
Hammer | Gavel
1
1
Short Bow | Longbow
0
0
Shield | Tower Shield
0
0
Shard (of Divinity) | Shard of Divinity
9
2
Shard (of Gratitude) | Shard of Gratitude
13
6
Relic | Relic
41
0
Shard (of Readiness) | Shard of Readiness
7
3
It could reduce the vertical scrolling a little bit, though you probably fewer elements shown side-by-side instead of of the current one.
Nevertheless, awesome work indeed!

Not to discredit UTAlan, but planplan's code generator has different usage. UTAlan: cards --> deck code & image; while Planplan: deck code --> image. Also, I'm pretty sure without Planplan's Card Code list (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,17110.0.html), it would probably be harder for UTAlan to create this awesome tool.  ;)
