Creating OUR Radio - Step 1: What music do you like?

I think there is nobody here anymore who still works on this elements radio, so maybe this topic should be closed... please correct me if I am wrong.

Only a small correction: The topic should stay.

It's true that I've put the project on hold indefinitely (mostly because of time-, and sometimes maybe interest issues), but I also have two ~1hour mixes (thematically: Death and Aether - lacking only the final touches), and several tracklists ready if the Radio ever gets launched.

That said, my failure started with the vision of a bit more "live-action" radio show, exclusive to Elements. But it turns out that a project with this scale needs much more time and dedication that I can currently offer, and also a bit more manpower. So:

I also thought about this being a good idea, and obviously there is still somebody left using this thread.

I will take that opportunity: Mostly I listen to Nightcore/Trance and Pop.

And i think I would listen to an elements radio for the whole day

Really? Aww, and I just found this topic and thought it was a good idea.

The idea is good and viable, but the problem is that every decent live-radio streaming service requires some kind of monthly payment. Which means that zanz would have to add it to the funding cost of EtG and the forums (extremely unlikely) or, the much more realistic option, is that a community member would have to fund this out of pocket.

I think a much more viable option than having a radio show would be doing a weekly podcast, although that's not quite as an "exciting" option as a radio show, it's much more doable one.

Hell, we could record skype calls if we wanted. I think just getting this thing started would be great, decent audio quality interviews can come later.

I actually really liked the sound of that song. It's definitely not necessary, but if you're up to it, I'd love to have him on the show for a possible interview and maybe a special event featuring his music.

A general note for everyone: there will be a thread (at a later date, but soon) about setting up special events/interviews/etc.

I bet there's tons of kiddies in this thread just hoping to god there will be dubstep, my toilet can make better sounds.

I can sence the presence of an intolerant person over here... Well, just so you know: There will be almost every music, to open up to as much people as possible. There will be dubstep, and there will be techno, there will be oldies too, etc. Even if you or I or somebody else may not like every single song on this planet.

There will be all kinds of music, so if you don't like the (genre of) music being played that hour, then you can just stop listening ^.^

To behonest, there are a lot of people with a lot of diferent musical genres preferences, so much that you will end up probably having a bit of everything. so why ask?
