One of the best shields in the game. Blocks a LOT of damage, when you deal lots of damage too. Very few shields can be compared with it. Like bone shield for example....and permafrost shield :)
Imagine the look on your enemy's faces when they rush adrenalined horned frogs and an enchanted diamond shield shows up in their faces. And then a pulverizer blows up the empathic bonds. G'day, g'day. Also works well on scarabs, magnilant cells
It still might pale in comparison to tower shield if that card stays at it's current cost, however.Zanz said Tower shield's still getting balanced, so I don't think we should start making comparisons just yet.
Alright, this buff was definitley needed, especially with the release of tower shield, however...Just mentioning it. I am NOT saying that this is the case, since the new shield will be getting balanced. It still might pale in comparison to tower shield if that card stays at it's current cost, however.Zanz said Tower shield's still getting balanced, so I don't think we should start making comparisons just yet.
A much deserved buff for a vanilla shield.Horned Frog/Giant Frog

I like this buff, I always thought Diamond couldn't really match with Permafrost or Jade Shield, and now the cost reflects this :)In some environments Diamond beats permafrost simply due to total exclusion. Poisonfish can't get you, scarabs can't get you etc. Diamond shield is a bane to those decktypes.
I agree with Kael on this. Diamond Shield is unique in the way that it's the only shield (not counting Hope) that blocks 3 damage on every hit. This ability makes it a very solid counter vs alot of rushes and masses of units (life rush and mass fireflies for example), I didn't even think of the pufferfish myself, but that's also an excellent example.I like this buff, I always thought Diamond couldn't really match with Permafrost or Jade Shield, and now the cost reflects this :)In some environments Diamond beats permafrost simply due to total exclusion. The buff will make it see slightly more use but I doubt was needed gamewise for effect. It will get harder for those rushes to get in before the lock.
Tower shield will prolly not be more used. Monos usually won't pack a 5 cost shield that only blocks 2 when they have more useful things from their own element.agreed. The only time shield is more useful is a rainbow, otherwise, in a duo, or even trio, why not use this instead?

It had no way of defending itself without killing it's quanta. This shield will pair up nicely with antimatter.
A much deserved buff for a vanilla shield. If you use strict mono earth, It is better. Tower shield is upgraded, but titanium isn't. You can get protection from 3 damage from diamond.
