I think it's because the end game is where most of these types of discussions inevitably end up going and most people just skip to that part.

Well upped or unupped I love these cards. A much better rush card compared to lava golem. Steel Golem + Rage Elixer = 12/3 in a single turn for very minimal quanta. EZ money and definitly competeing with Fallen Elf as my favorite creature.
