if anyone was wondering, if you use this on your weapon, then animate weapon, the creature will not be immortal. the enchant weapon effect disappears
-
I think Protect Artifact should cost (other)Quantum like Animate Weapon.

It only costs 1 :earth, you can pay for it with nova, immolation, or mark.

That is true but when using a trio deck that would just be un effective as a rainbow.... I guess I could do it like that but there needs to be some other type of perm control or PA works on everything. That's just my opinion though.

I just discovered something interesting about this card. I'm fighting Teres, a T5. He used a protect artifact on an unstable gas, which of course he lit lately. Waste of a card, I figured. But when he played a pendulum later and it landed in the same spot that had been protected before, the protection remained and his pendulum got a free protection

That would be a bug, then. If you see it again, please get a screenshot and post in Bug Reports. ;)

It's usually used on game-critical permanents such as Eternity in deckout decks.

And in every single permanent-dependant deck. Imagine if you are using a catapult deck and the oponent plays a pulvy.

end of story a card that fills a very useful niche in the elements ecosystem yea for :earth

unfortunetely is a card "little costs, little does". if i have to "lose" a card, i usually want a major effect

Catapults, shards of freedom, shields. Running a permanent based deck it can be useful.

THIS ONE (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,43804.0.html) and This one (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,34071.msg429941.html#msg429941) are my favourites, not saying Catatitans is one of the fastest unupped rushes. UTL is the CataGenious, but this belongs to another topic, so let's finish it here.
