yeah, with the change to the bonds, EM's arent as easy. also, i think changing the frogs for scorpions would be better.

Diamond Shield= Autoquit if you have no upped frogs. You literally can't win...

I got EM on my first try! I think the key is just patience and a few upgraded cards. I only have a few upgrades, but I think it makes the difference. I just happened to have 4 horned frogs, 2 feral bonds, 1 phase shield and 1 upped fractal. Just with those upgrades, and a little patience it kicks hard.

Would the frogs be the first to be upgraded? I think that would make them less destroyable.
BTW: This deck is pretty good if you aren't nuked (ex. rain of fire).
if you have enough money to upgrade you should try making the turbo speed false god farming deck. this deck probably wouldn't work that well upgraded
Upgraded frog becomes a 5|3 with a cost of 2 :life.I think its worth uprading it ;)

This has got to be one of the most effective and fun decks I have played thus far. =]

Thing is, it tends to deck out often, especially on AI5.
I would highly suggest the following:

+2 Horned frog, emphatic bond, dimensional shield, fractal (two more of everything but pendulums)
+7 aether pendulum

this should hopefully solve the deck out problem this deck suffers from by adding an extra 15 cards, while maintaining the ratio between cards. This way the deck should play exactly the same, just with more longevity and hopefully a better end game (longer possible shielding, more healing etc.)

Hope this helps!

The deck that Fayceless suggested is pretty sweet

Would it affect things much if you reversed the mark and pendulums, so that you had an aether mark and life pendulums?

So the opponent actually had to swing 100 damage in a single turn to beat it...  :)) Stupid shield, lol

I started a New account, and was looking for a deck to quickly get through the early quests.  I came across this one, and like a lot of the other posters found the title to be unrealistic.  It does not do that well against 1.26 AI-3"Elder" or AI-4"Half-Blood."  I have not even unlocked level 5 to try it there.  I almost had to wonder if the original poster had a typo about this deck beating AI-5":Half-Blood," and meant to type AI2 instead of AI5.

Anyway,  I settled on this deck as a Level AI-2"Normal" Grinder.   I restarted my Account with a Mark of Aether and quickly sold off cards and bought the Life cards to get the deck below.  It does really well getting the Elemental Master on AI-2"Normal."  I am currently at a score of 359 and working towards the 500 score for the quest.  I am not keeping close count, but I am winning almost all of the AI-2"Normal" Battles.  I dropped 1 fractal since I never had enough Aether quanta to play it anyways. I found the addition of the heals to be necessary to offset that last bit of damage a Momentum or Poison might have inflicted on the next to last round.  If I know I am going to win on the current round, and am not at 100 HP's then I drop the Heal to get back to 100 hp and achieve an "Elemental Master."  The Forest Scorpion is just for fun,  take him out if you really want to get serious.

Yeah it turns out that the Bonds used to give you more health (2 per creature, I think), so that's why this could beat AI5.

For a really solid, FAST (as in, most games last 60-100 seconds and 6-9 turns) AI3 grinding deck, go with 6 each of Nova, Graboid, Phoenix, Gnome Rider, and Immolation. If you aren't dealing at least fifteen damage a turn by the second or third turn, something has gone wrong.

This post was made more than a year ago, around version 1.24 or 1.25. A couple of months ago (1.27), Level 4 was Top 50, Level 5 was Half-blood and False Gods are Level 6. So for the current game version, it's supposed to work well against AI3 and 4. And btw, current version is 1.29, not 1.26.  :D

As for the deck, I think a well-timed dim shield will help more than heals. Maybe only use 1 and add 1 more frog? You need to fractal them early
Not so active.
