:waterbigCollection of Blacksmith's favorite duo's:deathbig

Throughout my days I've stumbled over many good duos. At first I wanted to make a compilation of them but since I like the decks so much I think each one of them deserves their own thread.

History

For about a year ago I started testing the nymph tear decks and when the new patch came; 1,32, I made this. It has been one of my favorite decks ever since. The strength of the death nymph is in my opinion underrated, after all it is a 8/9 with a good a ability.

Game areas and statics

Pvp: It's mainly a pvp deck especially for un shard playing.
Ai4: It has a fair win rate vs ai4 like 70%
Bronze: Yes would do this easily.
Silver: Around 70% win rate I guess
Gold: Can't be much more than 35%
Average ttw vs ai3: ≈10
If anyone like to I'd be very happy to have some more exact testing with this deck^

Game play

You often get a nymph tears in play turn 2-4 play nymph tears on a water pillar so you can make a new nymph every turn. When you got your first water nymph start producing death nymphs as a fast as possible and try to rush enemy down at the same time as you're chaining desiccation bone walls and aflax if needed.

Tactics and combos

What makes me like this deck so much is the combo between Bone wall, death nymph and desiccation. I usually start using death nymphs ability on opponents creatures. Then when they are close to die I play bone wall. After that you got 3 choices,:

  • Either you play aflax on the cell that has been created this will make it die the next turn and it won't turn into a new cell and you can start with another annoying creatures.
  • you could also wait 1 turn and let 1 cell become 2 and then play afalx every turn on 1 of them, this will make the bone wall grow every turn. If you got more death nymphs you could save up for even more cells.
  • The third alternative is to wait and let a field of cells grow use aflax when needed to make bone wall(if you have played it) survive and then when you can't wait any longer you play desiccation and gain tremendous amounts of bones and water quanta to power your water nymphs.
  • Pro tip: sometimes it can be good to keep nymph tears in hand even if you can play them just so your opponent doesn't play that extra dim 1 turn earlier or something.

Card by card usages and alternate versions

  • Nymph tears:  Having a earlt nymph tears is very important for the speed of this deck. SO the amount of nymph tears is not for the useahe it self sicne water nymph is both cheeper and can be used several times, it's more for the draw chance.
  • Purify: This card is very optional and is only needed for pvp playing.
  • Death pends: The amount makes the deck a bit quanta high but it also makes the deck able to beat most stalls and rushes with early Bone wall.
  • Water pillars: To get a water nymph
  • Desication: I think we sometimes forget how good this card is, if 2 creatures are in play it's basically free to play and deals 2 damage to 2 enemy creatures. And the more creatures they got the better it becomes+ it makes a very good combo with bone wall and death nymph.
  • Bone wall:1 of the best shields in game, can't be destroyed stolen and if you got the right cards it only grows stronger. Since the deck is a bit quanta high you could switch 1 death pend for another bone wall.

Optional cards
  • Arsenic: The deck is built around a combo, a combo where there are no space for a arsenic however it's so good so you could easily fit it in for a death pillar.
  • Skull buckler: Even if it blocks all cells I don't think it's worth playing it in this deck over a bone wall, but feel free to try and if you do I'd be happy to here how it went.
  • Bone yard: Would definitely work, the reason I haven't added it is because it can be tricky to have a to big combo and skellies upped is only 1 stronger than a cell. Even so I think it's worth testing it for a pend.

Upgrade priority

  • Death pends: Since they make upped death nymphs, upped nymph tears won't give upped nymphs.
  • Nymph tears: Since you want is as fast as possible.
  • Desiccation: It works un upped too but sometimes you really want it to only affect the opponent and not to forget it produce more quanta.
  • Bone wall: It's expensive and some games getting it early is important
  • Water pillar: Well upped water nymphs doesn't't hurt
  • Purify: Doesn't really matter but it's cool to have deck fully upped

Dictionary
aflax= Death nymphs ability. Name is taken from the card aflatoxin.
ttw=turn to win

At last I would like to say thank you t acasibi. I've thought about making these threads for a logn time but I knew it would take time therefore I never did. However your words in chat the other day motivated me to do this. Also thank you to Afdarenty for checking for errors.
