this idea here http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8914.msg113312#msg113312
introduces the concept. I think the mechanic should effect creatures in a much greater way. It a has an age counter, and the aging does different things to different creatures.

I would argue that this card here would mesh better with any sort of aging concept.

I would like to thoroughly develop this mechanic before creating a card idea for it.

I really enjoy Thalas' take on the idea of aging however, as things age I believe there should be some sort of impending doom factor. Nothing lasts forever.

Removes delay and freeze and target creature loses -2-2 and attacks 2 times this turn?

So should each element age a different way?
Too complex. there should be 2 aging mechanics. max 3.

But doesn't each element have a specific cost additive or subtractive when determining the cost?

I just think that aging should be simple as possible

I was thinking Aging would be passive.
I also was thinking it would work something like this.
first 2-3 turns stats are improved.
then creature develops current or new skill for 3-4 turns.
finally stats begin to fade till the creature dies.

If a creature with Aging is rewound
, it loses 1 turn of Aging and continues to get younger until it is sent back to deck.
, unless it is rewound again.

I know this is complex, but it is just what I was thinking.
If Nowhere is Somewhere, and Somewhere is Over there, How can we be Anywhere?

So how about this system of organization:

Aging A = Stat aging
Aging B = Ability aging
Aging C = A + B

So for example,

Example  |  Example
   2/2             2/2
Aging A 3    Aging A 3

So its stats would age for 3 turns and all that's left would be the aging increments.

I propose that aging B, or the aging for abilities be that the creature can use it's skill several times per turn but slowly goes down to lobotomy.
It is the greatest mystery of all...

I have another Idea maybe aging could be evolving and then devolving coming back to your hand but that's more standalone idea
