there is quite a collection of cards that heal..but i have yet to see a counter heal..meaning when they should get healed they get hurt instead..or heal the other..imo i think that would be quite a change to the scene...but also more of a challenge as well...any thoughts?

a typical counter to healing is reducing max hp.
Besides SoV, there are a few suggestions in the CIA section.
I can't remember seeing a different counter to healing, and I bet you can come up with something interesting...
-
I could see :darkness, :death or some of the hybrids with :darkness or :death having such a power.
-
A 1 turn perm (a la Sundial) that swaps healing and damage would be interesting
-
have a permanent called "apollos touch" (ancient greek god of healing and light) and make it to where it last 2-3 turns, swaps out damage for healing, like SoSa.

im just tossing ideas around..yaw whom are familiar with forums..please take my idea n run with it..the harder we can make it for one to win greatly increases the odds of others towards the number one spot..
this just might be the means to a better balance to the game..
i do think it should be in a different element without any healing properties..
but hey...idk all the data..i do understand theres a reason for everything..
but a way to suddenly inflict damage when your opponent thought they were about to heal..thats just epic..
hmm..now that i think about it..if they were to use miracle..it would be over very shortly..
im sure theres allot to consider..thanx for hearing me out either way..
MAD Kudos to the designer...

'deal damage when the opponent is about to heal'?
It sounds good, but it comes with a few problems.
The main one is that the opponent knows you have this card (permanent?) out. Even if you use cloak, the opponent sees what you play.
Secondly, it requires either a very low damage (making it worthless vs healing spells), or to be destroyed on use. A third option is to let it last a limited amount of turns.
If it heals too much, you may want to antimatter your RoL army, causing the ai not to target them.
finally, what happens if the opponent uses SoSac? will it improve it's effectiveness?
It sounds like a good idea, though.

is there a list of abbreviations somewhere..sosac just sounds funny..
(instead) of healing..as if you somehow converted their healing properties into damage..
maybe for a new shard for a new element..or sundial like someone suggested..
id prefer it was like sosa lasting two or three turns like someone else suggested..
quite good ideas btw..
but as dood was asking
what happens if the opponent uses SoSac? will it improve it's effectiveness?
no actually the exact opposite..
which would be bad for those who like to use empathic bond or sanctuary..considering their permanent..
my first thought was to offset sosa..
n maybe help you win even though theres a singularity or antimatter on your side..
whats up with immolation not giving you quantum if you use it on a singularity..
idk its been a while since i used immolation on a singularity..maybe thats fixed..
thanx for the input..

yeah but healing for damage
i do like the idea of using a greek god name but it would have to be the opposite..
it takes your healing n causes you damage instead..
or we could switch it up n make it so if your opponent tries to heal you get healed instead..
then we could still use that name..

Under the search bar you should see a horizontal menu of tabs with one labeled Glossary. Look there.

Wait, Shard of Sacrifice doesn't invert healing?

Wait, Shard of Sacrifice doesn't invert healing?
It does invert healing. See the card's description:
It says "Swap damage with healing".

That's why I was wondering why none of the previous posts (including the recent ones) mentioned Shard of Sacrifice.

The original question was how to counter the opponent's healing.
you cannot use a SoSac on them.
However, I did mention SoSac- as a response to the anti-healing suggestion.
But why the necro, serprex?
