More Spiders, why or why not?

I was pondering a gravity spider and the question came to me. I'm sure there are some reasonable conclusions people have come to on answering that. It's a great stall tactic and maybe it's too strong if you pair it with a element that posses healing or certain strategies.

Why do you think there are only 2 spiders? Perhaps to keep the synergies down?

If there were 1 or 2 more spiders, what elements would they best fit into and why?

I choose gravity because it has slow to build damage (e.g. Acceleration) and it's only healing is Black Hole, which is hit and miss.

I'd support another spider or two only if other airborne benefits/drawbacks are ever created.  We've got wings, sky blitz, shard of freedom, and iridium warden's guard that have different effects on flying creatures, and that's all, off the top of my head.

Life seems a good element for a spider, because, well... life's strong suit is creatures.  I can think of a few other possibilities (some sort of tarantula thing for earth, chaos spider for entropy, shadow spider or something for darkness) but the one that seems to have the best thematics in favour of it for me is life.

Forest spider | recluse has a nice ring to it. Maybe make it 2|4 -> 5|4 to keep the pattern with the other 2 spiders and make it cost 2 -> 3 .

Adding a third recluse is surely possible, but it would take a good examination and reason.  Easiest would probably be imagining if the element had one of the recluses that are already in game, as I imagine the third should match them closely.  Second, would be if the synergy with Air might be too much.

I think the most obvious element to benefit from a spider is ... Earth has the fewest flying creatures (making it most susceptible to wings) and has iridium wardens, which can only deal damage to non-flying creatures.
...That being said, you would run the risk of making the warden-spider combo too powerful.
Also, this would be an interesting place to make a spider that has relatively high HP and slightly lower attack.

-> Phase spiders - heavy hitters
-> Flesh spiders - well rounded
-> (tarantula?) - high hp, lower attack

It would sort of round things out.

Not too bad when you think about it. Water has SoP and already pairs well with air. Air Water Earth. I can already think of several nice cross synnergy options there. Especially since giving up the warden's attack won't matter with SoP.

Still slower than just wardens + SoPa + Inundation or Trident I think. Still, you could use Damselflies, Mark of Water and Stone pillars to easily feed the deck. You could even add a Sky Blitz as a finisher.
