Hello,

This deck is my main deck that I run, and it grinds silver really well (it can also farm gold, but with a lower success rate). I recently noticed that I can't use a fractal until turn 5 most of the time, which seems too long for a lot of decks I am up against. Too slow, unless the opponent gets a bad hand.

I love this deck, but I want to make it faster. I know it involves the usage of aether towers. How do I change the tower/pillar split, without changing the other cards in the deck, to make this pestal faster?

P.S. I mean faster only in the amount of time it takes to get to a state of control, not the match in general. Also, I would like to know how to figure out the quanta fixing without having to feel it out... You know?

You could try taking out 1 improved steal and one dark pendulum and replace them both with aether towers then test it out too see if you like it more. It may or may not make it a better deck but it's worth a shot.

Technically, if you just want the fastest lockdown possible, you can just get rid of the steals and vampires, and replace them with towers. This puts you in a sort of 'glass cannon' style though, and you're a lot more vulnerable to certain cards/decks than you would be otherwise.

I'd recommend you take out 1 steal and 1 vampire, as you really don't need to draw those too early, and having more quanta is never a bad thing. Also consider dropping an eclipse, you really only need 1 imo.

As for a quanta split, you CAN do it, but I don't really see the need for it here.

I will try both suggestions and take one steal, one vampire, and one eclipse out, replacing them with pends or aether towers. That was some quick feedback! Thank you

Edit: I tested some rounds with only one eclipse, and I decked out because I got the eclipse late.

Depending on the day, I think I got somewhere between a 40-70% winrate. My longest streak was 9 wins in a row, but you have to take the good with the bad - I also remember loss streaks of 4-5.

The build is pretty close to yours - 3 Steals are probably also viable, but 2 Vampires and 2 Eclipses seems to be ideal to me. Both are important cards, and you definitely want to draw them consistently, but not until the late game - you don't want them clogging your hand early on.

You can go even harder on the upgraded Aether quanta for even faster Fractals, but you run the risk of not drawing enough Darkness quanta.

I think 4 Fractals is, mathematically, the best option for this deck, since most Devtal/Pestal games are typically won as soon as you play your second (one on Pests, one on Vampires) - that said, I've played too many games, casually and competitively, where I haven't drawn a single copy in the top half of my deck, so I also prefer running 5. You can experiment with both and find out what works best for you - replace the 5th Fractal with another Dark Pendulum if you go that way.
