Newbie Nymph deck help https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=64800.msg1267410#msg1267410

So I played years ago and forgot about it and now I'm back. Right now I'm grinding bots with a fun  :water :time nymph deck and I wanted to know what others thought and what tweaks I could make. (I know it doesn't have pendulums).

The whole idea is you power out a water nymph army and use time to keep yourself drawing into what you need.
Procrastination I've found to be uber helpful when I fall behind.
The biggest skill I've found is when to hit a quantum pillar or time pillar instead of a water pillar right away since there are 6 tears.
I could conceivably take out the quantum pillars and focus only on an army of water nymphs, and maybe that would be better, but I've found a lot of success and had a lot of fun with the random nymph's you get.

You don't have enough time quanta to power those hourglasses, and you can get extra draw power from a golden nymph anyways. If you keep those quantum pillars in, I recommend switching out those expensive time cards for cheap (1 or 2 cost), powerful rainbow cards. Another option would be to replace with more pillars-- 6 tears and 24 water pillars is a viable deck.

Typically, your standard nymph tears' deck is this:

5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5io 5io 5io 5io 5io 5io 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 8pp

This is because the best nymph to get from your nymph's tears is actually a water nymph. This is because if your primary water nymph dies, you still have your combo, you can get two nymphs out a turn with 8 water quanta, and your entire deck generates water quanta so you can get nymphs out easily.

Now, I know what you're thinking. That's boring. Horribly boring!
And you're right. Fortunately, you get to add other nymphs into your deck by adding a cavalcade of pillars. My favourite addition is Entropy for Discord:

Take note of how I'm only using pendulums as my off-colour. This is because NT is simply that important and I need them that much.

(Use Eternities instead of SoR if you don't have them - SoR is more funny though)

So, why not random nymphs? Put short, they're massively unreliable. They require quantum pillars in order to be used effectively, which hurts your water nymph generation.

Now, it is worth noting that if you use nymph's tears on a mark, you actually get a random nymph - if you wanted to have fun, there's your option. Just upgrade water marks, have everyone cry in horror as you upgrade your precious marks that you don't have, and violla.
