Neurotoxin VS FG https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=58860.msg1196283#msg1196283

That's the deck i am trying to tweak to work against FG.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 74a 74a 74a 7ee 7ee 7ee 7ee 7ee 7ee 7gq 7gq 7k6 7k6 7k6 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7qd 7qd 7qd 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 8po

Neurotoxin is awesome against FG because they play an incredible amount of cards. SoBe it's practically used to draw faster and bail the AI into playing more cards.
By turn 8, if you are able to inflict neurotoxin since the beginning, you will have FG with more than 40 poison counters!
Rewind slows them down and force them to play again their creature, acquiring one more poison. Purify and Sanctuary are a great defense against poison, Quanta leech or scramble and Nightmare.

The problem with this deck is that I get overwhelmed by the creatures pretty soon. Potentially it can kills any FG, but I can't stay alive long enough to do that. I think that an average game, absent Miracle cast by the FG, would last about 12 rounds.
  • I thought about using SoSa, but I don't like the massive Quanta depletion it causes and it doesn't get along with Purify and Sanctuary.
  • Dimensional Shield is not a great option because almost any FG carries Steal or Deflag.
  • Miracle seems great, but I would need it way before getting the 12 :light.
  • I am considering a creature-killing shield like Fire Buckler or Spine Carapace, perhaps protected with Enchant.
Another implementation would be adding Eternity, so that I have a PC on the field, always protected with Enchant.

Any suggestion on how to make it work better and to survive the battle?

This is basically a more... post-useful version of the old plat grinder, SPlat.

Have a gander. Note that due to the monoisation of shards has crippled splat quite a bit, as you've noticed.

I agree with Frozen on Dials.

Also, as you don't need many off-element quanta, I would simply go with some Novae instead of Quantum Towers. As Dials drain your :light, you can replace Sancs with more buffs like Chaos Power. I recommend Vampire Dagger as a weapon: Cheap, you have no other use for :darkness, and damage & heal of 6 each turn are great.

I don't think SoB is a good idea here, as you will help your opponents overwhelming you. I would include more Scorps and maybe Precogs. After all, slimming it down to 30 cards is recommended for a deck that needs to get his combo out very early.

Adding Nightmare is brilliant! if I use it on a weak and cheap opponent's creature, the AI will play it without problems, earning even more poison counters. What I dislike is the fact that I would need 2 Supernovas to play the Scorpion, unless I am so lucky to get that Time Tower within the first 3 rounds. Why including that single SoW?

SoB would be a good idea if I were using SoSa, which is something that seems reasonable. Practically, this deck is turning out to be a hybrid between SPlat and Poison Dial.  :D You are right regarding the removal of Quantum Towers and Sancs, considering that SoSa seems to be the best option for this deck.

This is basically a more... post-useful version of the old plat grinder, SPlat.

I experimented Sundial and SoSa together. I noticed that the AI doesn't play creatures in its hand until SoSa is acting. Sundial seems perfect in between two SoSa to avoid being run over by the mob the AI might eventually put on the field as soon as SoSa expires.

By taking into account your suggestions I am going to experiment with this deck. I will let you know how it goes.

Why including that single SoW?
The SoW counts as a fifth attack booster. It's not a Momentum, because this way there is less strain on :gravity quanta.

After a few disastrous games I decided to modify the deck in this way:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 71u 71u 71u 71u 71u 71u 74a 74a 74a 74a 7ee 7ee 7q0 7q0 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7q9 7qd 7qd 7qd 7qd 8pk

Those are the results:

Akebono:_______2 wins - 0 losses - 2 EM
Chaos Lord:_____1 wins - 1 losses
Dark Matter:_____skip - It's just too annoying. I always skip that one.  :P
Decay:_________skip - no defense against her Pests, makes the battle nearly impossible.

Divine Glory:_____0 wins - 1 losses
Dream Catcher:__1 wins - 0 losses
Divine Glory:_____0 wins - 2 losses
Destiny:________2 wins - 0 losses - 2 EM
Elidnis:________skip - his purify make this battle almost impossible to win.
Ferox:_________skip - his healing skills make this battle almost impossible to win.
Eternal Phoenix:_1 wins - 1 losses - 1 EM
Fire Queen:_____skip - his healing skills make this battle almost impossible to win.
Gemini:________1 wins - 0 losses - 1 EM
Graviton:_______1 wins - 1 losses - 1 EM
Hecate:________0 wins - 2 losses
Hermes:________1 wins - 1 losses - 1 EM
Incarnate:______skip - Vampires and dagger heal him. The chances of killing him before decking out are too slim.
Jezebel:________skip - in between the healing and the unstable gas from its nymphs, this battle is just too hard to waste time with it.
Lionheart:______1 wins - 0 losses
Miracle:________skip - The chances of killing him before decking out due to its Miracles are too slim.
Morte:_________skip - The chances of killing him before decking out due to its Miracles are too slim.
Neptune:_______3 wins - 2 losses - 1 EM
Octane:________skip - it's just too hard for this deck to waste time with him.
Obliterator:_____1 wins - 1 losses
Osiris:_________0 wins - 2 losses
Paradox:_______3 wins - 1 losses - 2 EM
Rainbow:_______skip - it's just too hard and annoying.
Scorpio:________skip - his purify make this battle almost impossible to win.

Seism:_________2 wins - 1 losses - 2 EM
Serket:________2 wins - 0 losses

38 games (skips not counted) - 22 wins (13/22 EM) - 16 losses - 57% win rate - 12/30 FG skipped

I'd say that there is still room for improvement. A few games were lost due to unlucky hands and drawings.
