Title: Gravity-Life deck
Post by: ZwibiX on August 24, 2016, 11:35:56 am
Hello to everyone!

I have tried a duodeck with  :life and  :gravity, but haven't succeeded much. Can anyone give me advice?

Here is my deck:
7x Gravity Pillar
3x Colossal Dragon
1x Gravity Shield
1x Momentum
2x Black Hole
3x Acceleration
8x Emerald Pillar
1x Emerald Dragon
1x Emerald Shield
1x Heal
2x Empathic Bond
I've just recently started playing, I appreciate all sorts of criticism and advice!

The problem is, your deck seems to be lacking a clear focus. I believe the main strategy of the deck is accelerated colossal dragons? If so, I'd suggest taking out some of the more "irrelevant" cards (ones that arent integral to the deck's strategy), such as Empathic Bond, and putting in more of your main combo.

The life portion of the deck doesn't really add anything to the deck other then a tiny bit of healing. There aren't enough creatures in the deck to make the empathetic bonds worth it and gravity already has dragons. If you wanted to keep life in the deck you might try adrenaline as it works decently with acceleration. Finally I have some quantum nit picking. Using a balance of pillars and pendulums (such as mark of life with all gravity pendulums or if you use more gravity than life some gravity pillars and some gravity pendulums with mark of life) is almost always better than splitting to types of pillars. The deck in the spoiler is a rare example of where using two different pillars is better.

If you have shards of readiness than even this doesn't need the pillar split. Using mitosis instead of fractal works about the same way but with more time pillars, factorys if you want to be specific, and less life pillars.

First, you only have 4 creatures. That means, Emphatic Bond would heal you at max 4 HP per turn. Sanctuary is better in this case since it heals you 4 HP per turn no matter how many creatures you have on the field. Also, if you focus on Acceleration, you should heal your creature, not your own HP. That being said, Purify is better in this case. Of course, you should change the Emerald Pillars accordingly.

It is getting better. I suggest putting some Otyughs. When adrenalined, they attack multiple times if their ATK are low and become a big eating terror if their ATK are high.
