This deck is quite effective at farming AI3s. It's relatively fast and has control elements to it. This deck has a quanta index of 4.9. The 404 is a short bow.

You have:
  • The water pillars provide you with water quanta. Necessary for running a water deck.
  • The ice shields are very useful in increasing your win percentage. They have a 30% chance of freezing an attacking creature for 3 turns, and it's more effective than it sounds.
  • The puffer fishes are your main source of control, and aren't lacking in power either. They recently got a buff as well, which makes them even better. 6 damage for the cost of 5 with a useful ability that gets rid of annoying creatures. What's not to like?
  • The ice dragons are your heaviest hitters. Play them after you play all your puffer fishes for the finishing blow.
  • The shockwaves get rid of high HP creatures that have been frozen by the ice shield, and they're faster than infection.
  • The purify is there just to fill up a slot and it's occasionally useful against the elders with poison in their decks.
Strategy:
Card priority is water pillar ----> puffer fish ----> ice shield ----> dragon ----> shockwave. Lay out puffer fishes before anything else because you want to rack up damage, they can also draw creature control so your dragons stay unharmed. Play ice shield after if the enemy field looks scary, if not, play your dragons. If you need to save some water quanta to play your creatures, refrain from using ice shield and control the field using shockwave/infection instead.

Possible changes:
  • Fog shield instead of ice shield. I chose ice shield because frozen creatures are in synergy with shockwave, and they can't use abilities either.
  • Blue Crawlers. However, they're relatively weak unupgraded, but you should replace puffer fishes with abyss crawlers if you plan to upgrade.
  • Arctic Squid/Arctic Octopus if you can get one. They are good synergy with shockwave as well. Remember to draw out creature control before playing these vulnerable critters.
  • Bring a short sword/long sword if you want. Much more effective upgraded.
I'd appreciate questions/comments/concerns/feedback! Thanks, Retribution.

Eventually you'd want to upgrade this into something like:

As a fan of :air myself, I like it :)

I must say however, that this seems to be one of the few decks which has appropriately taken advantage of all :water / :air synergies.

Good job Retribution. I'll post my own edits to it here:

It amazed me to find that some alterations to the deck such as relying on the creature control aspect of this deck healing alongside with Purify really helped it I found, perhaps it's just my play style but I found that this improved win chance:

Looks similar to my Toadfish, you say? (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,10302.0.html) deck. (although mine has Artic Squids instead of Ice Dragons) Toadfish are really fun to play now, especially with the v1.25 buff.

Arctic Squids are rare, so I didn't use them   ;) This is just a beginner AI3 grinder, so I like to keep the cards basic. And sorry, I didn't know you already had a deck like this. :(

Now with pendulums, switching two/three pillars for a Water Pendulum may help.

@Hyroen
Purifies only provide +1 healing, and poison is only in 2 of the elder decks. Too situational I say, still.

Now with pendulums, switching two/three pillars for a Water Pendulum may help.
I'm thinking of -1 shockwave, +1 short sword.
I don't need too much air quanta. Just to be able to rid the field of annoying creatures, the air mark is enough to supply that.

I made a few modifications to this deck.

-1 ice dragon
-1 shockwave

+1 short bow
+1 purify

The purify can help out for 2 of the elders, but otherwise it's just something to take up a mandatory card slot.

I'd take something out for another Purify. Or make it 31 cards in case of a slow game. Great against those poison decks, since yours doesn't have Artic Squids (which stop those Scorpions somewhat).

Do you really need shield for this AI3 grinder?  I find you can grind AI3 much more efficiently without shields.
