Here's a nifty deck idea I had. It uses earth as mark to power gargoyles but is otherwise mono dark. Might also make a good duo with earthquake added
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uo 5uo 5up 5up 5uu 5uu 5uu 5uu 5uu 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5v2 5v2 7ta 7ta 7tb 7tb 8pm

The idea is pretty straight forward. Play gargoyles -> use abilty to get extra hp -> Use liquid shadows to make hard to kill vamps with a good punch.
Cloak and steal can help make sure they live to become all grown up. Eclipse (or nightfall) may also be useful if they need just that little extra at first (eg in case of owls eye or a firestorm). Also, liquid shadow makes a good cc for some smaller pests like squids and maxwell's demon.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

Eq makes it duo. Devourer might be useful, but I was worried it would get in the way of getting to my gargoyles and shadows

I would still add 6 devourers, since it helps a lot against some decks.

And it will slow down against others...
I agree with odin

I think you can better make it a 30 card deck
isnĀ“t 15 pills a bit too much?

If you're weak, then run, but toward your enemy

Hello,
this is a version I played for a few days now.
it's a nice and effective grinder at silver, but it's not consistent enough to grind gold.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t8 7t9 7t9 7t9 7ta 7ta 7tb 7te 7te 7te 7tf 7tf 7tf 7tf 7tf 7tf 8pm

synergies work well and liquid shados could be used as a decent CC if needed. I think it could work very well also un-upped - and yes, devourers / pests are a MUST in any case in a deck like this (they speed you up, whatever the adversary, while slowing him down as well

EQ is no great addition to this deck. Your goal when using EQ is to deny your opponent his game. So, if you slow down your opponent's offense (or defense) with EQ, you want to rush him down asap before he can recover, not have some defensive low damage combo.

My opinion:

-The deck can use 2 or 3 Dragons as a finisher.

-The deck does not need Devourers, despite their strength. Gargoyle+LS costs too many cards to splash in six 0 (or 2) damage creatures.

Remember that devourers are quanta producers too.

.. I do. :p But you can't do -6 Pillars +6 Devs, -2 Pillars +6 Devs is more realistic. And then you're still at 4 additional 0 damage cards which is just too much when you want to use the LS/Garg combo imo.

The version posted above is probably already the perfect Dev/Garg/LS deck, but I bet it often loses due to lack of damage.

@Marsu, I loved devourers for the definitive synergy between earth mark and Darkness deck, but your criticism is well supported: I will try removing devourers and adding some towers and dragons - "experience is cheap" as they say :)

thanks for the suggestion, I will let you know!
