Gargoyle Nymph (unupped) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=9155.msg107900#msg107900

Hi,
I created the deck so that I could use my 2 Black Nymphs. The idea of the deck is similar to the Gargoyle-Liquid Shadow decks.
It's important that you have at least 2 Black Nymphs! The single nymph works better in a normal Gargoyle-LS deck, where you replace a LS with your nymph.

I didn't write down the statistics against lvl3, but the deck has a chance to win ~85% of the games. The chance for em is around 50%.
I'm upgrading the deck right now, so that I may add the upped version of the deck when I'm finished.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uo 5up 5up 5ur 5us 5us 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5uv 5v8 5v8 8pm

The deck:
General: The decks needs a lot of quanta in the early and midgame as you want to play the nymph ability and gargoyles at the same time.
-10 Obsidian Pillars: I started with only 9 Pillars and 2 Dusk Shields, but I found myself in a few quanta shortages. It got less with 10 pillars and I won more games after the change. I plan to go back to 9 when I upped every pillar.
-6 Devourers: It slows down the start from your opponent, which helps as the deck isn't the fastest. The burrow is nice, but less important then the Gargoyle ability.
-1 Dusk Mantle: Nice shield. It helps to gain em at the end, but the 1 pillar was more important then the second shield.
-2 Steals: You should use the spell only to remove annoying shields ( :fire :gravity :water :time, Carapace) or weapons (Lobo, OE)
-1 Vampire Stiletto: It's really nice to have some damage/healing besides creatures.
-2 Drain Life: It helps to remove early problems (squid) and it's a better way to kill high attack creatures.
-6 Gargoyles: The ability makes this creature to one of the best targets for Liquid Shadow
2 Black Nymphs: Nymphs have the advantage that you can use the ability more then 6 times so that you can use it for creature control. But they are vulnerable to creature control and the abilities need a lot of quanta.

I have 2 useless black nymphs that need a home.  I may have to give this a try.  Wouldn't a nightfall work well in this deck?

I don't use Nightfall as it buffs your Devourer, too. And that would make them affected by shields and I had that I had less em with Nightfall. I won several games with 98 or 99HP in the trainer when I tested it with Nightfall.

against AI3 i guess it could work pretty well.. nice deck for AI3 grinding if players have the nymphs  :)
just something to ponder on.. the deck is efficient because it dishes out decent damage while healing the user (thanks to nymphs' LS). so when the nymphs face decks with CC, what next? O.o

eg. Lightning (common in AI3) or Owl's Eye (not so common i guess.. but does show up)

The CC of the ai3 isn't such a big problem as you think. The ai primarily attacks the Gargoyles, so that your nymphs are mostly save.
Permanent CC like Owl's Eyes isn't dangerous as you can steal it. Spells are a bigger problem, but you can lure it with Devourer or you sacrifice one or two Gargoyles.
The last thing is CC from creatures, which can be troublesome when you can't stop it with your nymph or Drain Lifes. Especially when you play against the  :water :aether -deck (Immortal squids or flayer).  >:(

true. well other than CC i guess the deck's fine  :D
just a thought.. would the deck be more efficient if players -2Nymph -2Gargoyles and +4LS?  ::)

No, this change wouldn't make the deck better. You would create to much Quantum while you have less damage and cc. When you want to play a deck with Gargoyles and LS, you should play a regular Gargoyles-LS-deck.
