There's only 2 card difference between this and this.

And really, with 4 shields, there isn't really need for the Dusk Mantle.
With only 8 quanta sources(excluding devourers) so Drain Life's won't do much.
You know, a long time ago being crazy meant something. Nowadays everybody's crazy.

There are about 20 versions of this deck here, so I fail to see how your first point applies. I feel this is the optimal build.
I have little trouble powering the drain life's and there are situations where the dusk mantle is good to have. >_>

I may be mistaken , but I think it applies since Regen's list has been tested and the results are there . Besides , with only a 2 card difference I recommend posting WHY you think your list is optimal in that thread so even if your happens to be "more optimal" you can discuss it with the people who have already worked on it .

The majority of the damage this deck puts out comes off the Black Dragons. 10 vs 11 is kind of peanuts in that regard. And while Nightfall would bring Black Dragons to 6 life and make them able to withstand lightning, this deck should outpace the standard AI3s that carry it.

Also this deck was simply offered as a streamlined, unupped version for AI3 grind. It's not tournament quality, nor was it offered for Silver farming or anything like that. I don't really feel there's any reason to attack me for this. I'm not taking credit for creating the build, only offering a version streamlined for AI3 grind.

You are forgetting devourers. With nightfall, each devourer now does additional damage as well.

And because they do damage they are subject to shield effects, such as firewall or icewall. It's a precaution.

If you go first , including the 9th Pillar/Pendulum increases the average number of pillars in your starting hand from 1.86 Pillars  [2.13 going 2nd] to 2.1 Pillars [ 2.4 going 2nd] .

(8[Pillars or Pendulums]/30[cards per deck] ) * 7[opening hand] = 1.86 repeating

(9[Pillars or Pendulums]/30[cards per deck] ) * 7[opening hand] = 2.1 repeating

It's pretty good evidence that you want that 9th Pillar in there , especially for those games where you want to play out your first Dragon asap or you need 3  :darkness on turn 2 so you can Drain Life a Lava Golem [or anything else really] .

Perfect deck for AI3 grinding. 95% win rate against AI3, excellent win rate vs Bronze league as well. High rate of EMs.

Might I add, your Quanta Index is a bit off. It's about 7.13, so I agree with the above suggestions to add one or two pillars. You also need more dark quanta for the drain lifes to work effectively.

turn 2 Drain > turn 3 drain .

Factual statement is factual .

I'd rather take the risk of 1 extra damage from up to six creatures and get such an expensive shield coming up that I can steal.
