Good idea! I like the way you've used a non-offensive move with a creature, esp. with 0 attack. FYI, i think there is a space before the ":" colon in the top line. I think this version if quite fair, having a medium/high cost for a good effect that can kill monsters AND poison. However, this will look kinda crap (no offence) when you see Maxwell's Demon, which can attack and kill higher strength creatures. Apart from the kinda screwed maxwell's demon, you're good.

Without the gaining the 1 HP this card is junk.  How about ' :death :death : Strangle
Kill a smaller (less HP's) creature.  This card gains 1 HP.  Strangle your opponent's HP.'

another idea:
strangle: target creature cannot use active ability for 1 turn. Can target new creature every turn.
Or, strangle: target creature can not use active ability whilst strangled (for ever on 1 creature until snake dies or you pay to 'let go') so like a soft lobo I guess.

thoughts?
could even add a feature like "guard", where it's a 0 attack creature, but when it strangles it also deals it's attack in damage to same creature it strangles?

tbh this idea is so different it could vouch for a entirely new card altogether, anyone wanna collaborate? Or do you want it for this card?

I can think of a Dark-Gravity kinda thing with this card.  make it, lets say, 10 HP (15 is too much), still Darkness element though. for 2 Gravity, Strangle: Cause a creature to be strangled. every turn a creature is strangled, this creature loses 1 HP.

Strangled Effect: block a creature's active skill from working. can target a new creature every turn, previous creatures are still affected.

I would like to reiterate my support for the original effect: devouring a creature but poisoning the opponent instead of increasing attack.

Should I leave it at that.. ? Or my original poison damage = 1/2 the target creatures HP.

Poison implies +1 poison counter.
I think +1 poison counter per activation is the best design.

It is not much harder to kill than Otyugh. In the late game Oty is almost harder to kill because it has eaten more.

I'm against because right now  I'm thinking of an unstoppable duo. Aether + Death.
Lay Python + Soul Catcher, follow up by fractaling Python (unnecessary), strangle Sparks (fractaled as well) or any other no cost creature (photon ect). The strangle's can get you a lot of Death quanta and poison on the opponent. Also after a couple of turns this would shut down opposing creatures as well, and would quickly surpass average CC. Only counter is the rarely used Purify or early/powerful CC :(

Plate Armor adds 3 hp, Blessing adds 3 hp, Chaos Power adds an average of 2.5 hp, Heavy Armor adds 6 hp, Rage Potion makes the target lose 5 hp, Rage Elixir makes the target lose 6 hp, Fire Shield makes all enemy creatures lose 1 hp per turn, Fire Bolt makes the target lose 3+ hp, Ice Bolt and Drain Life make the target lose 2+ hp, Plague makes all enemy creatures lose 1 hp per turn, buffed warden deals damage...

I think it'll live.
