Basically, let's see what is happening here. After my current state that is seen on the first image, I press space for next turn.

After my turn, the AI targets the same wyrm with :death infection and :aether :aether lobotomize, both gets avoided by the help of SoFrees.

The AI had 11 :aether and 1 :death quanta and got only a dimshield and a dark pendulum on his turn. He summoned the dimshield leaving 5 :aether quanta, used infection, that depleted the :death quantum, but after that the lobotomization didn't consume any quanta.
The reason why I could make this printscreen in time is because I already met this bug a lot and vs every AI, not just Arena (applies for both AI 0-6, arena and AIs that take over PvPs). The bug also applies for any creature targeting weapon: Owl's Eye, Lobotomizer and Eternity too.
Notice how the infection still consumed quanta while it got still avoided, so it IS supposed to drain quanta. It just doesn't. That's a bug definitely.
PvP gives the same thing, causing an undetected desynch.
