So, I accidentally clicked on an arena league and hit surrender. While normally the game does show the stats from your last game (HP, quanta, etc) for a split second before loading the new game, if you hit the 'surrender' button the stats from your last game stay, as well as adding two silences and 0 turn SoX counters to each side. It doesn't change anything for the game, but the 'you lose' screen should be more consistent :/
