Title: AI playing Basilisk Blood on a immortal creature
Post by: fbparis on December 31, 2011, 08:30:28 pm
Well, the subject is explicit :)

I've seen this several times, against AI3 and always with its own Armagio (I've made it immortal with Anubis to prevent AI use catapult on it...)

Testing in the trainer shows that this happens with any creature given gravity pull status, not just Armagios. It did not matter whether the Basilisk Blood has upped or unupped. Quintessence did seem to prevent the AI from using Basilisk Blood on dangerous creatures belonging to the player, so this is probably specific to the combination of gravity pull and BB/petrify.

It's true; this is a real bug. The AI played two BBs this turn (on the Armagio, not my creatures).

WeIrD...

Well, that was a fairly easily confirmed bug.

Is it only with Basilisk Blood or does it work with other things?

It's a shrieker, but the question remains...

SOOOO, Shrieker + epi + BB = burrowed Shrieker in 2 turns? =D

No. The image doesn't change, but look that the attack is still 4.  :P

I say epi because it would be an exploit of the bug, as the BB goes away in a pair of turns only.

question is how can you BB it after burrowing!?!? BB delays it(as it shows in the screenshot) so how can a burrowed graboid be delayed that epi idea woudln't work

This is the same bug as AI playing Basilisk Blood on a immortal creature (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,35225.0.html). The code the AI uses to decide whether or not to use petrify on gravity-pulled creatures is missing the check to see if the creature can be targeted.

So to clarify, what happened here was not that the shrieker somehow burrowed while delayed, or that casting BB somehow burrowed the shrieker, it burrowed first and then was delayed by BB.

More evidence/confirmation couldn't hurt.

Just wanted to add another picture of this bug. The Armagio was quinted before the nymph came out, AI kept petrifying it after it activated the gravity pull -ability.

I'm sorry for not focusing but your deck looks like a joyride. Mind making a deck code post?
