Spoiler for Antman vs. Falcon:
Marvel's Antman

My initial thought for Antman was to, obviously, use Antlions, but that proved to be rather ineffective and only slightly thematic. So instead, Antman would go with a crushing deck. Antman's ability to shrink to super tiny sizes is where the smaller creatures come into play. Even though he's small, he still packs a punch. But it's his ability to go from small to large so fluidly that enables him to be such a potent hero. That's where the Shreikers come in at. They are his fluidity, striking with small creatures and throwing out the large one when he needs to. But his ability to grow small puts his enemies at a disadvantage, thus crushing any sort of upper hand they had. The pulverizers do this, destroying any defense the opponent puts up. When Antman is small he is hard to find, or even see, which stalls anything attacking him, which is where Basilisk Blood comes into play.

Falcon takes to the skies to defeat his enemies. Using his agile maneuvers and strength he is able to swoop in and eliminate even the toughest of foes. Shard of Freedom let's him take to the skies and ignore any defense the opponent might have while giving himself a boost in strength. The Wyrms dive for an impact with the help of the Shard to deal some intense damage. Flying heroes can be quite tricky to reach, Wings putting him out of reach from his enemies. And with Falcon's keen eyesight, Eagle's Eye helps him hone in and take out any foe.

These decks matched up against each other (through the deck simulator) even out to roughly 60-40 either way. Antman has a larger tendency to win, however, following in the footsteps of the fight scene from Antman. Typically these are both heroes, but in Antman they were enemies(sort of). I would write up the scene between Antman and Falcon as some flavor for this deck, but people can just go watch Antman to see what would happen.  :P Also no spoilers. Except for the ones I just said.

The fight Antman versus Falcon from Antman.

Spoiler for Skitter vs. Lung:
So, the superhero of my choice is the type of person to completely forego her theme and use the most efficient deck possible... hard to decide if I should build a thematic deck (fairly possible) or just go full rush...

Worm is a story where the titles of Superhero and Supervillain are often hard to apply, but let's try it anyways.  I decided to go with the main character, Skitter aka Taylor Hebert, and the villain she went up against in her first fight, Lung.

Skitter has the power to control bugs.  She uses this power, combined with her cleverness and sheer determination to great effect.
Skitter

Lung has Pyrokinesis. He also gets physically stronger (slowly transforming into a dragon) the longer he fights.

The Skitter deck here has a 15% win rate against the Lung deck.  This is intended and thematic.  Afterall, you wouldn't expect someone with the power of controlling bugs to win against the likes of a super tough super strong fire controlling dragon, or any other classically strong chracters.  But she does, consistently.  The story is all about using powers in clever ways, and a clever person piloting the Skitter deck should have far better luck than the simulator.

Spoiler for Superhero Cards:
's
represent Human Torch, a key collaborator at times with Spider-Man.
It isn't just my opinion here: "6. Human Torch

The very first issue of Marvel Team-Up was between Spider-Man and Human Torch, which was a sign of how much of a pair the two heroes became over the years."

's and e and 's
are the engine to drive the Elements deck -- can't have it ALL relate to a Superhero universe, can we?  ...can we?

's and 's
represent our Superhero himself -- Spider-Man! They even sling webs just like Spider-Man!

's
are included as representatives for Spider-Man's 'spider sense' that gives him tingling glimpses and sensations of events as/just-before they occur.

is in the deck owing to Villains' tendencies to be very destructive.

's
... don't let bad guys go un-checked!

's
represent the Shocker.

represents Morbius, the Living Vampire.

Elite Immortal: As immortal as the God playing it. Technically possible to kill... but only just.

Titan: Mjolnir! Thor likes hammers. If Thor was going to play Elements the Game, he'd see Titan and think...

Trebuchet and Animate Weapon: What good is a hammer if you can't throw it?

Twin Universe: Coming from a different dimensional plane, playing this card reminds Thor of Asgard, or home.

Thunderbolt: He's the God of Thunder.

This isn't mischief. This is mayhem. Just watch.

Discord and Pandemonium: These are what Loki thrives on. His methods of mischief.

Shockwave and Flying Weapon: Loki can project highly powerful concussive bolts of mystical energy. He can also surround objects in mystical energy to levitate them. Source.

Antimatter: Loki loves the idea of turning people against their allies. He has the ability to control people's minds and actions, and chooses to do the same when playing Elements.

Chaos Power: Forever seeking power, he cares not about the stability of such power, simply that he can use it to create more mischief.

The Battle

At first, it seems as though Loki's deck has chaotic answers to everything Thor can *ahem* throw at him. Loki even wins the first few games. Slowly, however, Thor realizes that he must fight his own anger, and be patient to defeat his brother. He holds back his Titans, bolts down Loki's Discords, and holds out for the One-Hit-Knock-Out!

Shining so bright, yet letting everyone else do the work for him. In this case, Zodd (the gargoyle).

Spoiler for Westley the Farm Boy vs. Vizzinni:
Websters Dictionary and Wikipedia both describe super heroes as being crime fighters who save the day, and most of the time have superhuman abilities.
However Websters also states in a more simplistic term that a superhero is "a very heroic person"but not always having extra-ordinary powers.
As well Wikipedia states "By most definitions, characters do not require actual supernatural or superhuman powers or phenomena to be deemed superheroes."

So I present to you my choice for a super hero, someone who saves the life of a princess, battles a band of thieves, murders an evil prince, and finds true love('cause that's the most important part right ;) ).

Spoiler for The Hero:
As You Wish

Westley the Farm boy is but a man who stops at no avail to bring the mighty kingdom to justice. He continually searches for the love of his life, stops a band of thieves, and ruins the plans of an evil Prince.

Rainbow Deck - Symbolizes the versatility Westley shows as he battles the thieves using his many traits; skill, brute strength, and intellect to out wit each of the different bandits.
Shard of Serendipity - "As you wish" the continued phrase he utters to let the others know he is willing to do anything to help others out. When playing SoSe you are 'wishing' for good cards from RNG.
Poison - "Iocane Powder: odorless, tasteless... deadly poisons known to man"  Our hero uses poison to kill and outwit the bandit leader. Here it can be used as a shield avoiding damage source.
Purify - "I spent the last few years building up an immunity to Iocane powder" like a purify he found a way to remove the poison from within himself.
Elite Armagio - "You've beat my giant which means you're exceptionally strong" Just like the immense size of an Armagio, Westley is not to be overlooked for his potential power and stength.
Quicksand - Just like the quicksands grasp and destruction of your pillars/pendulums, Westley must quickly save Buttercup from the sinking sands within the Fire Swamp.
Miracle and Phoenix - Westley manages to cheat death in the pit of despair by a miracle potion, similar to how a phoenix cheats death by becoming an ash. Phoenix is a useful cheap creature here, and the Miracle is for late game potential healing.
Cloak - Westley hides his face and his name, so as not to reveal his true identity like most superheroes. Using the cloak you may avoid direct CC buffing any creatures you may gain from the SoSes.
Shard of Wisdom - Westley Uses his keen intellect to defeat the Bandits leader in a battle of wits. Using the SoW a quick buff can be used on your creatures for that extra damage and attack.
Long Sword - The long sword represents the weapon of choice by our hero and an well known fencing duel between Westley and one of the Bandits. The sword is but a weapon to be used for additional damage should the SoSes not give any weapons or useful creatures.
Relic - A relic symbolizes something rare and valuable, be it an object or a person. Our hero is considered rare as not everyone is a hero, additionally he carries on the name of an old legend "the remains of something that was once valued".

And for every Hero there is always a Villain

Spoiler for The Villain:
Inconceivable!

A true deck to our villain Vizzinni as he is one who is pompous and arrogant and believes himself to be the smartest and most cunning around. He is the leader of our band of thieves, and commands each one to utilize their individual skills to kill our hero.

Pharaoh - Pharaohs summon Scarabs and bring them together, just like how our Villain brings together a band of thieves to kidnap a princess.
Precognition - Our Villain thinks he knows what will occur at every point of his kidnapping due to his 'perfect planning'. He is continually baffled by the man in black's attempts to thwart his plans and stop him from a proper kidnapping. In this deck Precog can be used to draw cards faster to quickly get the Pharaohs and scarabs out, or as a way to check the opponents hand for potential CC before placing a SoW on a creature.
Shard of Wisdom - Vizzini believes that he is the smartest person around and cannot be outwitted in any way. The shards of wisdom can be used on any of the creatures to gain an attack bonus.

And if you are still unsure of where these characters come from:
Spoiler for Hero & Villain Movie/Book:

You have no time.. To save the world!

Competition Organizer Notice

- Voting Polls will now be anonymous. Sure, it would be easy to find out who posted which submission, but if someone is that intent on being biased, they would have found a way to be anyway. This way, it keeps honest voters honest, so fewer people will subconsciously vote for the members they like the most. Enjoy!

- Additionally, competitions will have flexible deadlines depending on how complex or time-consuming they are. This allows us to run more competitions, rather than having an easy-to-submit competition where the last week of the timer nobody is left that has not already submitted.

- The submission 'X-Men' has been included in the poll, despite not showing both a hero and a villain deck, because it is still creative. Use your best judgement as to whether or not it is deserving of your vote when compared to the Rules.
