Card Design Competition: When Life Gives You Art...
The lovely BrawlMasters and Brawlers gave us some art. We're going to use it and make some pretty cards!
Here's what you do: Make one card (unupped and upped versions) based around the ART of one of the five submissions for

Spoiler for ARTIST:
Spoiler for Frostbite Borealis:
So, here I am, artist for Frostbite Borealis submitting my abstract work.
I sure do hope this syntax is correct and whatnot.
Spoiler for Ragnarök:
Ragnarök: In norse mythology, it's basically a future event that will kill the gods.
As an agnostic, gods are a blank paper for me, as I neither believe in their existance nor that they don't exist. For people who do believe in gods however, they can be their best friends. Taking that into account, there is only one logic way to paint gods for me: Toilet paper. You'll see the true value of it once it's gone.
One question that I was looking into is, how do gods die? What happens to a totally OP being which can't die, when it dies. Does it get eaten? Transformed? Or does the world end because of a logic failure which will flush everything down the toilet?
I illustrated this by burrowing Dali's Time painting. It shows the uncertainty of the future, which in the end, will inevitably be reached.
Spoiler for Red Stars:
Art:
Shine like a red star
But there is a twist! The card you create cannot be the same element as the team that submitted that card.
So if you pick:
Meaning of Life's artwork, your card
can't be Life
Frostbite Borealis' artwork, your card
can't be Water
Ragnarok's artwork, your card
can't be Death
Red Stars' artwork, your card
can't be Fire
Gravy Train Co.'s artwork, your card
can't be Gravity
A couple other things you should pay attention to:
- "Other" cards are permitted, but cards using Hybrid/Pseudoquanta aren't allowed.
- One submission per one artwork per person
- Your card should not have the artwork in it (because some of the art would not look right squeezed into the box)
- Submit your card to the Card Idea Competition Submission Subforum
- Be sure to make it very clear which artwork you chose and give credit where credit is due
You have no time left!
