So, in other words:
What you were expectong us to do wasn't to modify the content, context, meta, etc. of the cards, but the cards themselves? As in, leaving what the card had in it, and just modifying the layout of what was in it?
Pretty much, yeah.
Redesign the card format of Elements The Game!
The intent of this competition was for competitors to design a new card format. The submissions presented above are indeed different card formats - Yu-Gi-Oh! and MtG respectively - but they're not new, and they're not formats that you've designed yourselves.
This confusion is entirely understandable - the images in the OP were misleading, and myself and Aves apologise for that. This mistake was not your fault.
This competition is actually a re-run, and the OP contains a link to it "for inspiration". I've gone and collected a few submissions from that thread, and they're presented below in the following spoiler.
Hopefully that should give a better example of what we mean.
Again, really sorry about the misleading images.
See this is an issue. The only real instruction we got was Redesign the card format of Elements The Game!
There is not a real outline we are supposed to do and using those example pics really threw everyone off. I am going to put my post back up since i believe it still does follow the rules outlined in the OP
I'd like to cite this rule from the OP:
The design you create must be your own work,
You may re-post your entry if you wish, but unless you are legitimately the sole designer of the Clash Royale card format, I'm afraid it won't be a valid entry.
