NOTES:
I had first the idea of a Dark card called Dark Burns | Deep Burns with a similar effect, but decided at the end that Fire would fit better. Was thinking, that as an additional effect, all the creatures on the users side would get +1/-1 | +2/-1 and that the user would lose health over time, but then it would get too complex and weird.
If this card is stolen or copied, the stealer/copier also loses 5% | 7% health to play the card

This is FAR too overpriced... Its effect is not much better than packing a few extra pendulums or pillars.

Still seems a little on the pricey side for me.
The unupgraded may be okay, but the upgraded is way too expensive relative to the unupgraded.
Remember that upgrading a card is worth about 1 to 2 card cost in and of itself, so I think you would be okay leaving it at 3 :fire ... maybe 4 :fire at most.
The only real advantage I see to this card is a slight reduction in effective card numbers in your deck.
Timing is critical in terms of the impact of quanta advantage in a game, so having to wait to build up even 3 :fire is a fairly significant drawback compared to most other quanta sources.

Consider [card immolation]
I think most players would take that card over this one hands down.
The reasons being that
1) Its free
2) Its non-quanta cost is much lower (1 photon or spark for instance... both of which are easy to splash)
3) This card would take about several multiple turns to pay off while immolation is instant

If anything, I would make this card free or maybe 1 :fire as a cost. The HP drain is enough of a balance

Good point there! Update is done! I really thought HP drain wouldn't be enough of a cost, thanks for correcting me!

Dunno what the old versions looked like, but this looks fairly balanced — it's a painful way to get more quanta!

This brings up a slightly different point... does :fire ... which already has cremation / immolation need an additional boost to quanta generation?
I think it will definitely make users of firebolt and fahrenheit happy.
There are other elements that might benefit more from a quanta boost though. Gravity and time come to mind. Aether as well, but fractal rush is somewhat of a concern in that case. Entropy would certainly like a quanta gen boost too but in that case, their shield could quickly become OP.
