You know, combined with Sundial or Precognition in a rainbow deck, this card would allow for quite a hefty card-drawing speed for ... 4 + 1 per card and 2 per card for three turns for ... as many cards as that is. Which is substantially more than the norm, adding up to a speedy rush. I think the discarding requirement in this card may be a blessing in disguise as it frees up a slot in your hand to put another card in.
Yes, I was thinking it would add a very double edge feel to the card.
I think a simple combo would be with mindgate, at least for unupped meta, since that way you don't have to rely on a trio.
In upped meta, precog might work out okay, although sundial would still require a trio since
is needed.
It can actually power itself since you are getting 2 creatures per discard... of course, you are essentially sacrificing half of your creatures to power it at that point.
I'ld be very curious to see how this works out. Milling for creatures could yield a speedy rush, but would also shred through your deck too. I'm hoping that helps balance out the draw potential to keep it from overshadowing hourglasses, etc.
