Yes, thought earth's dragon is far from its best hitter, shriekers and golems are better for the cost.

The card idea is to counter Shard of Freedom, but it also has powerfull synergy with Wings. Its effect is, that it forces all flying cratures to land or in other words, it removes flying atribute from all cratures, while this card is in play. The picture should be a mountain (not very active volcano) from where smoke rises and covers the sky with black smoke and falling ash.

@chem: don't you think your card idea is different enough to warrant originality?

I suppose so, I am not sure what the general rule of thumb was so I played it safe; also, thanks for linking to the original source, I forgot to do that.

This is much better than yee's version, since it doesn't turn wings into a 5 turn dim shield. Since the misses are calculated before shield effects, are creatures with momentum and spell damage affected? (this would counter psion nicely).

The damage effects all creatures that are not immortal, cut and dry. Airborne creatures with momentum would be subject to the chance of missing because this card isn't a shield, it is more of a field card (i.e. nightfall or sanctuary). The miss chance of airborne creatures is based entirely off of them being airborne, so phase dragon would be effected. I don't think this is taboo as weight blocks phase dragons and wings block immortals (the card, not quinted creatures). This is fair game because the immortal creatures are never targeted, in fact the creatures are targeting you when you attack, and as such immortals are vulnerable to other cards through this mechanic. I hope is answers your question.

Now that I look at that, yes that is the general rule, the better effects for the upped version were added last (in part due to getting to it last and feeling like the upped version should be a bit stronger.) With this in mind I can change the upped cost to 4  . What do you think of the idea in the notes about a timer for the upped version; with that added in, I might keep the cost the same.
