ART: Decalomania by Rene Magritte IDEA: Treldon NOTES: Like TU, it will create a second creature. Unlike TU, it will change the status of the creature(s). One will receive a buff to its ATK (x1.5, rounded down), the other will be Antimattered. (With the upped card +2 is added after AM) For example you have Abyss Crawler with 6|6. Cast Polarize on it and you have two Abyss Crawlers, one with 9|6, the other -6|6. Usability: It's best used with various buffing cards. Best is probably with SoPa. Or you could use it offensively. Cast it on opponent's Ruby Dragon. CC the buffed version, leave an AM'd dragon behind.

When is the +2 attack added?

Overall, I don't see when this would be useful. Antimatter causes less overall damage to you, while just straight up buffing or PUing a creature is better for more attack.

Interesting concept with Antimatter, but eh.

+2 ATK is added after AM to lower the healing dealt to the other side.

Original idea was simply to create an opposing copy of the creature, but obviously that would be even less useful.

Whichever side the target was on. If you target your creature, you get the copy and vice versa.

That Singu is an interesting idea though...might even make this card useful...

The reason I mentioned singu was because if there was a way to send one of them to your opponent's side, it'd be broken.

What I thought you meant - which would probably make this from useless to OP is to put the inverted copy on your opponent's field.

The drawback makes me instantly think of ways to work around it Immolation/Catapult/Mutation.
Phoenix + Polarize(upped) + Cremation = 2 Phoenix (one with 7 atk the other 12-14 atk depending on if it rounds up or down and if the +2 is before or after the x1.5).
Cost: 3 cards, 8 , 4 but gain 8 + 1

This could also be packed into voodoo decks to make them run more smoothly.
E.g. voodoo, GP, BB wait till low HP then this.

Scorpions give another combo. In that case, the AM part could even work to your advantage since it provides automatic shield bypass.

So, combo listing. For copying a creature on your field, you might:
-Reverse time the AM version.
-AM the AM version again for double creature. (Compare with PU)
-Catapult/Immo/Mutation, as OT said.
--or Phoenix
-Plain old CC
-buff the AM version (SoW is in-element with this card, possible combo)

I suppose if you were copying a creature on your opponent's field, most of these options would be viable if you target the buffed version instead of the antimattered version.

If this is in a mono-aether, one might use it on Psion to maximize your options for dealing with the antimattered Psion. Simply Thunderbolting it is most obvious, but SoW is viable also.

This card, thinking about it, would fit very well in with existing decks focusing around Psions or Shards of Wisdom.
