This is pretty similar to one of ZephyrPhantom 's cards, IIRC. Still a fun concept

Link Meow? Even if they are similar all that can really do is further balance the concept to allow it to grow.

I feel like it is very weak this point though. The upgrade should at least include a damage increase, as is it's a very minor upgrade, almost not even worth it

Care to explain how does the chance to freeze enemy weapon work (say, a flat chance, modified by :water quanta (at attack or at casting?), or something else)?

I really like the idea if a "temporary weapon" however, as zombies said I think the current incarnation is pretty weak--too little damage and too high cost.

Depending on the chance to freeze this is either too weak or too strong.  I would recommend bumping the damage by 1 and keeping a relatively low chance of freezing.  Also, what do you think about freezing (disabling) enemy shield if they have one instead of the weapon?  Makes thematic sense, but is a bit weird mechanically.

A bit more different than I thought, but my statement stands.

But seriously now...

I love the idea of a weapon that freezes the enemy weapon, and it's certainly a good alternative to Trident for those not running :earth.

I agree that it's UP though. Given that some opponents won't even have a weapon, its effect is a little niche. Since the chance to freeze isn't certain, nor even unique to Water (icebolt), it doesn't add a huge deal to Water's PC arsenal. That's supposed to be constructive criticism :P Since it's going to break, I think it should be doing at least as much damage as Longsword (-1 for unupped), and probably cost less too. Pretty sure you know how awesome Discord can be for a 3 :rainbow weapon, but that does 6 damage :)

*Edit* Wow I edited this post a lot. My apost'troph'e's are all over the place today...'.

Freezing a random creature each turn and dealing 6 damage?  And you removed the breaking after a few turns?  Seems a bit too strong now.  And less interesting.

Oh right. Forgot about the break part ><

Added in notes

Is the upped version meant to be exactly the same with the unupped version?

-Is the freeze an activated ability or does it automatically happen each time it attacks?

-If it happens automatically does the freeze still occur if the weapon is blocked?

-Can the random freeze hit immortal or burrowed creatures like ice shield can?

I liked the ability to let it freeze weapons, that made it unique while being very well element-based. Now it just seems like an Arctic Squid, that doesn't have an upkeep, deals more damage and freezes randomly. The back draw of being a weapon isn't as tough here as you also got rid of the Squid's fragility.

In case you go back to the weapon freezing, I suggest a high freezing chance (like 50%, maybe also depending on quanta amount) and ~5 | ~6 damage at a cost of 3. Immaterial weapons should be immune to freezing.

You can't just have breaks after 3 turns in the notes and no mention of it in the text...
Also, there is no need for the immaterial clause, it's assumed, even mass field spells that don't target don't affect immaterial creatures

That's more like it!! Mucho like-o! (I don't speak Spanish...)

I disagree with RussianSpy about the break text though. I think you should remove the text explaining that immaterial weapons can't be frozen, and add the part that it breaks in 3 turns (that's kind of important).

However, I thought voodoo doll and ice bolt freeze immaterial weapons? I could be mistaken.

Looks like it's just a remnant of a previous rendition of Icicle.

I meant "can't"...
I liked the idea of a weapon that breaks eventually.

With the breaking part, this needs to be rebalanced again. Dropping the cost to 2 :water for both, while giving the unupped 5 atk and the upped 7 atk seems fine at first glance.

Oh, and nice art!
