ART: OdinVanguard Created using Hexagon and Bryce7 IDEA: OdinVanguard NOTES: "Today everything just seems to fall into place" "I love it when a plan comes together! … Although, it helps if that plan is self-assembling" The ability is a variation on the phoenix, but with some twitsts. First off, when a scrap-bot dies, it turns into a scrap pile (permanent). Second, you can only rebuild scrap bots using surviving scrap bots Third, when you do successfully rebuild scrap bots, you get 2 instead of just a single replacement. Lastly, the scrap-piles have their own very useful ability. What is a scrap-pile you may ask? Spoiler for Scrap-Pile card: A scrap pile is a permanent with a 1 cost. It is a stackable permanent, so multiplied bots dying wont clog your permanent space. Other than serving as a place holder for bot reconstruction ability, it has the ability to consume itself 1 piece at a time to produce quanta matching the element of any permanent in play or in your HAND. A scrap pile (like any other permanent) cannot be used on the turn it is first created, and Scrap piles can be targeted by earthquake or tsunami ... if this seems confusing, I can rename them to scrap-pillars and change the art a bit. This is mainly as a balancing mechanism to keep them from being too powerful as quanta storage. I will be starting a "scrap" series shortly where scrap piles serve as a resource for various abilities. Will post formal series once I have enough cards. Scrap will get generated when various creatures or permanents are destroyed at a rate of ~1 scrap pile per 2 in the card's cost... Why does that make unupped version better?
They both have the same cost and both turn into a scrap pile on death... and if you catapult or cremate them you get better damage out of the upped version...
Or are you thinking of an otyugh fodder?

Rage Elixir kills the unupped and gives you a scrap pile. You need two shots to kill the upped.

... But why not just immolate / cremate them? Much more quanta efficient.

at first i misread it and thought it was a gravity card, similar to  's phoenix, where as when it dies, use gravity quanta to reassemble itself, but i relized that would be useless and reread it lol.

That's why it takes 2 to do (which is the casting cost of 1 bot)
Basically, it provides the extra mass to build the second bot and rebuild the dead one.

I also thought of Oty when I saw the first card (and before I saw the stats). Though if the Scrap Pile was a creature, that might be too good for Oty. Now, obviously we can see the usefulness of Scrap Pile. But how good is the scrap Bot by itself? It doesn't work with mitosis or fractal (kind of rare :p). If you had a renewable source of Gravity Pull, this could synergize with the ability that makes two more. You could say it has mitosis already built in, where the mother creature is vulnerable to PC instead of CC. There is Empathetic Bond as well, but regular mitosis might be faster. I suppose there's raging the upped for a pretty cheap attacker. Lastly, good for mono OD. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I have for now.

I'm making a series out of the scrap-pile concept. This card is basically serving as a renewable source of scrap-piles.
I'll post the rest of the series as it comes in (i.e. as I get the art rendered), but here are a few of the concepts so far:

Graviton Scrap-Smith - mid size hitter which uses scrap to increase attack damage of creatures or weapons
Graviton Scrap-Yard - Permanent which creates scrap piles when any gravity card leaves play or is discarded.
Graviton Foundry - Permanent which uses scrap piles to copy a permanent to its owner's hand
Graviton Scrap-Barge - Large creature with high hp and low attack which uses scrap to create gravity creatures that deal high damage
I still need a few more ideas to work out the series so suggestions are welcome.
