It would prevent healing creatures, rewinding damaged creatures so they can be re-summoned, etc. Also a player could be a target of released damage. I wanted it to be immaterial (Can not be destroyed or stolen)... SERIES:

The hand works almost the same and does not cost  extra to discharge.

that would be waaay over too OP, mixing it with dim shields for absolute defense and mirror damage... no thanks

What if it only guards from spells that target the player? That makes it effective against bolt decks. (And if you make the damage bypass Reflective shields you could also justify 'damaging' yourself in a stall or OTK.)

Aether has already the most not targetable creatures.
