My problem with Sadism is that it's exactly the same ability as Scavenger. Why the same ability but with different name? Makes no sense.

Furnace. It increases damage by 2. Again I ask why? You said that..
1. Furnace is extremely hot
2. You feed on this (heat?) which increases your power
3. You somehow channel this power (heat?) through you increasing the damage of your characters and spells

Lol what does that even mean? :) Sounds like an episode of twilight zone. Why not just change the card name to something that would be easily understood?

Fireflies don't have flight? Um.. have you seen the picture? Can you see those WINGS? Fireflies most definitely DO have flight. Or are you saying they walk to battle? :)

Think about it like this: Fireflies can fly. You use the card "Flight" on them to make them be able to fly (although they already could). How does giving them the ability they already had, increase their damage?

And I'm not saying you should rename the ability to "Dive" because that wouldn't work either. Only creatures who can fly, can also dive (like Wyrm and Pegasus).

the *furnace* kinda reminds me of *furnace of rath* from MtG.
(doubles all damage.)

I guess furnace is producing weapons and giving more heat to your fire creatures?

Urza is talking about flight as an actual ability, not something that a card theorteically does.  I think this card might be best flavor-wise if it could only be played on non-air cards.  This would also reduce synergy with dive, one of the major concerns for the card.  Another option is having flight put an icon on the creature giving the bonus, but preveting it from stackin with itself.  With this setup, I wouldn't hesitate to push the attack up even more. 

Urza, I have to hand it to you, you put up an extremely eloquent defence for a card that looks over powered on the surface.

Actually no.

He says: This is a spell who's use is to deal damage to the opponent. It would be treated as a direct damage spell, although not direct".

So it wouldn't be an ability.

This "flight icon" you suggested is actually something I started a thread about earlier. http://elementstheforum.smfforfree3.com/index.php/topic,513.0.html . I really hope it would be added to the game.

scared, look at the implementation hes suggesting.  There is almost no way to appropratey balance that card without using an icon.  You keep talking about flying creatures.  Unfortuanetly for game play purposes there is no such thing right now.  This card would add that (for a short period)

Ah, ok now I understand what you meant..

I have no problems with how "Flight" would work. I was only talking about the theme of the card. Why does it have to be flight? It makes no sense when you give flight to already flying creature like a Dragon, and it increases its attack. How does that work?

Another problem of course is that this "Flight" card it EXACTLY like "Dive" ability. They are 100% same. Am I the only one who sees a problem with this?

Now you could rename it to "Dive" but then again how can you dive if you cannot fly? :)

Most logical solution (that would require a lot of work) would be to introduce "Flying" ability to all the creatures in this game that can fly, and balance their attack/HP. Then rename this card to "Dive" and make it so that it can be only used on creatures who already have the "Flying" ability.

Again, I'm not talking about gameplay or numbers here, I'm talking about what makes sense and what doesn't.
