Little bit OP is some ways, but balanced in others. Shield is useless after you quanta reaches a certain point. I really like it, but I think you should lower the max quanta point you have now. 35-40 is too much. I think a better number would be closer to 20.

Edit: Perhaps gravity or earth would be better elements... but then again, conversion of damage into quanta is a abstract concept, which time is more suited for.

Yeah, maybe I should modify it a little, but I think 20 is just a little small. Maybe 25 | 32?

This could work REALLY well, and probably too well, with Fractal. Fractal is already in-element with Dim Shield, after all.

Maybe the starting cost is too expensive? I really can't see gaining that much quanta fast enough. Yeow.

I mean, :entropy has shield and doesn't even cost that much.
Compare:

It doesn't cost half as much, uses only 1 :entropy quanta to block THREE damage, no quanta limit, and :entropy creatures are cheap to begin with.

Can't agree with that, this is a completely different mechanic. Gives you alot of quanta, which you can spend to lower it back down. It's a simple as stuffing the deck with expensive cards like dragons. While it's a shield, it's also a quanta generater, which is 2 positives. The reason the Diss shield is lower cost to play is because it's a quanta drainer, which I would consider a negative.

This idea is brilliant and deserves more attention, but I still think the numbers are off.
