Thematically speaking, Ambushes last shortly and a permanent version just doesn't make sense to me.

The first idea makes much more sense thematically, but creatures can be Unburrowed and have their attack doubled for free already. In a sense, it's more of a one turn mass Momentum card than an attack boosting card (unless, of course, you had envisioned the attack double after the initial attack double) and should cost less until more Burrowing creatures are introduced into the game.

That said, are the Unburrowed creatures Burrowed again after the turn? Such a hit-and-run tactic could merit such a price?

First variant: Whether the unburrowed creatures get burrowed again, I don't know. IT depends which option would be have more advantage (I would tend to choose the other one). I was thinking that this card could have excellent synergy with another of my card ideas, Entrench | Burrow.
Second variant: I know that the name does not fit thematically. I just couldn't think of a better name. Tunnel system? I have no idea...

I'm only worried about Shriekers though: easy to summon and unstoppable by any means. Maybe it needs a timer? Forgot about the Unburrowing part, it seems OK to me! (:

Thanks! I'll keep Ambush in this case and create a new thread for the second idea. It will be called Tunnel | Tunnel. Later renames will be possible, of course.

upped shriekers, yes. and only if they're burrowed, which isn't all that hard to do.

upped shriekers, yes. and only if they're burrowed, which isn't all that hard to do.

With six Shriekers that's 48 damage. Sky Blitz with Dive can actually be much more dangerous.

Edition done. Now it simply doubles their damage, and does not unburrow them.
Even with six Elite Shriekers, it's 60 damage.

I had these two ideas, after Hyroen told me that the concept of burrowing creatures was quite unused. These could have excellent cooperation with Entrench | Burrow.

By the time you get out five or six Shriekers, your opponent is probably already screwed.  :P  Therefore,

I don't think this nerf will really be needed.
