A Ray of Light over a Photon isn't that much more powerful at all. Luciferin can easily take care of that and due to its ability to be used in any deck, it might as well will be used.

The cards harm themselves. Not the owner.
I did my best to keep the wording close to in-game elements card wording.

Using the ability once on the upped allows you to use it every turn. It pays for itself once.
