I like the second design a lot better than the first one. Also the 2nd color scheme is closer.
And in my opinion, the art change that was in the last update, it didn't really matter if the pictures were better or not completely.  A lot of people liked it, and a lot of people hated it.  I just liked that there were new pictures! Sometimes a person can get tired at staring at the same picture all day.
So don't get too discouraged, furball can be a mean person.
Do the best you can, I know I couldn't do any better.  Then maybe if you get the fractal really nice, someone else will add in some extra :aether flare
cheers ^.^

I like the idea of making an actual fractal!  True, the card fractal has great artwork and I don't think it will be readily replaced or anything, but I love this type of enthusiastic creativity.

Also, props for using legit math for making these.  Having studied math in college, I can definitely appreciate that.  +rep.

I love this card art!

However, IMPO, the curves should be smoothed out a bit, it looks a bit rough and pixelated (even though the card may not be that big). Also, try adding a few extra shades of blue like the current fractal. That would be nice.

This is just awesome :)

Thank you so much!
sorry for me being slow, but I have school too, and today we had an especially long day.
Imaginary numbers are indeed awesome (study them on my own, as I am only in senior high school).

Thanks a lot
The pixilation is because my mathematics program is not able to do it in any better quality, maybe a smoothing tool in a editing program would do (I do not have one at the moment as I am using a school computer).
About the shades, what I do to create the shading is that I make the graph have its colour defined by the z value, and the shading goes from red to blue, so I move the graphing area to make it have only the blue colors, and the only remaining ones are the ones closer to pure blue. I have already created some fractals I thought looked good (still no spirals though), which have the current color scheme.
should I post them as is, or remake them to have more of the blue-blue colors?

You should post the ones you've made ready, as I've told you  >:(  :P
But I mean it, if someone can just maybe professionally edit some of the things you haven't posted yet, it's gonna look awesome (like it doesn't already  :) )

I like the idea, but this is Elements the Game, and this is the card's art.  So it should be visually appealing.  Fractal's current artwork is very good, and is an artistic interpretation of a fractal.  Should we put a scalpel in Lobotomizer's hand?  Or replace Schrodinger's cat's art with a picture of a box?  No thank you.

I'm definitely open to improving in-game artwork, especially if it isn't original (Spore creatures) or other questionable sources.  I just haven't seen one that'll do it.  However, I like Zblader's spiral flame.  It might work, once downsized to 256x256

Was that made with fractal geometry comands or by hand?
Forget that as this is totally awesome anyway!
Proud to have posted an inspiration source for something like that.
Oh and I really liked the post you made while I was writing too.

Thanks! Here's a version with slightly less frogs meant to make it less 'spotty'. (Thanks to a little feedback from chat.)

The 2nd one uses a gradient merge to make the Frogs 'phase in' a bit.

That's an amazing fractal Y!
I made one as a little class work in the university, but it was pretty symetric and looked like a tree. More or less like this one, but better because the size reduction was smaller in each step and had 100+ steps.
