i dont know if this game is still being developed as most of the posts in the dev area are incredibly old. but in case it is.



this card is so bad that its just disappointing. all of the other shards give you powerful effects with little to no downside. but this one benefits your opponent almost more than yourself. you spend 1 or 2  :fire to draw 3 cards for you both.

now i thought you could play around this by playing the card when your opponents hand is full and only you get the draw. but it turns out neither of you draw cards in that case. you always draw the same number of cards that your opponent physically draws. which makes this shard either no benefit to you over your opponent or just a waste of mana.

my proposal for a change:

sacrifice 1 creature to draw 2 cards. 3 if you have the  :fire mark.

alternative:

sacrifice 1 creature. draw a number of cards equal to its health + 1 if you have the  :fire mark

i think this fits well with the general  :fire theme of burning your creatures for extra power.

On paper, yes it's a pretty bad card, but in practice and with the correct deck built around it, it's an incredibly powerful tool. Take this deck:

Insanely fast. How it wins is that it draws a ton of cards that it can play almost immediately, each of which have insanely high attack power, and beat down the opponent in 5 turns or less. Sure, most decks can't make use of it, but those that can do so very well.

5 turns? A good crema deck should do 4 ttw on average. Even 2ttw is possible.

The thing with SOB ( like WIlling3 explained to me ) is that you get to draw 3 cards in a deck that is made to make use of the extra 3 cards, often thanks to Cremas. While your opponent plays a deck that can't fully take advantage of the extra cards. SOB has a limited use - just like DtD said - but in the right deck it's very powerful.

But I do agree with you that this game should have another card that allows you to draw several cards at once without the setback sob has.
