Simply blocking for one damage is alright, sort of, but adding a second passive ability is always that much greater :D

In many players' opinion, easily one of the most powerful shields of the game. It has good damage mitigation, protects against any spell directed to the player and it can't be touched from your opponent. A really nice card overall.

Question/Following Case:

you and your opponent both have emerald shield/jade shield ... what happens when you use e.g. a fire bolt/fire lance?

I haven't tried it myself but as I understand it it bounces once on each shield and then do damage/effect.

No, it just bounces once. Target yourself when you have a jade shield and you will hit the opponent, regardless of their shield.

Not sure where else to ask this, so it comes here.  I'm using this card and was just wondering what exactly it reflects.  I had it in play, and my opponent was still able to attack with spells.  I was just wondering why this happened.  Am I just missing something about the description?

Your opponent can't target you with spells, but he can still target your creatures.

I was confused by this issue at first as well.  More specifically, spells that are capable of directly targeting your opponent are the ones that are reflected.  Realistically, however, the spell reflection of these cards is identical to that of Mirror Shield where:  Any damage from spells is reflected.  Personally I believe Emerald/Jade shield should read the same to clarify this confusion but I suspect this has not been done in order to reduce the amount of text placed on the card.
